Brock Lesnar Returns and Destroys Mr. McMahon: Jan 28, 2013, WWE RAW Results
By Keelan Balderson | Jan 29, 2013 | TV and PPV, Wrestling News | Tags: Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon | Comments

Hot off the Royal Rumble CM Punk demanded his WWE title back, blaming The Shield, the fans and The Rock for his loss. Unfortunately he’ll have to settle for another chance at the Elimination Chamber. Tonight was not about gold, it was about the conduct of Paul Heyman. To the world and perhaps CM Punk’s surprise Heyman had been secretly working with the Shield and Brad Maddox all along, but before the Chairman could fire the proverbial Walrus, Brock Lesnar made his return!!!

Quick Results:

- An irate CM Punk kicked off Raw by blaming anyone and everyone for his WWE title loss to The Rock, but Mr. McMahon is convinced that the Shield was in cahoots with the former champ. McMahon claimed to have evidence of such, and if Paul Heyman couldn’t convince the Chairman of his innocence, he’d be fired later tonight!

- The Roulette Wheel chose The Miz to guest referee a non-title match between Antonio Cesaro and Randy Orton. Calling the bout down the middle, Miz happily counted the 3 after an RKO. As soon as the match had finished however the shirt came off and he delivered his own Skull-Crushing-Finale on Cesaro, who tried to cheat his way to victory.

- Ryback def. The Prime Time Players in a Make Matt Striker Laugh Challenge. “What has four eyes, 20 fingers and is about to be unconscious?” Apparently Titus O’Neil. But Striker’s laughter was soon Shell Shocked short.

- After eliminating him from the rumble, NXT’s Bo Dallas once again shocked Wade Barrett by reversing the Bull Hammer Elbow in to a belly-to-belly suplex for a huge victory.

- After defeating Cody Rhodes John Cena officially announced The Rock as his Wrestlemania opponent. It wasn’t plain sailing however, as The Shield attacked!

- Brodus Clay and Tensai competed in a dance-off.

- Instead of competing in a Body Slam Challenge with Alberto Del Rio, an angry Big Show decided to give the World champ a KO punch and a taste of his own medicine for cheating in their match at the Rumble.

- Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. Tamina Snuka in a lumberjill match went to a No Contest when the Jills got involved.

- CM Punk interrupted The Rock’s thanking of the fans, but before the two could brawl Punk opted to use his rematch clause at the Elimination Chamber, and backed off from the confrontation.

- 3MB crashed Zack Ryder and The Great Khali’s Karaoke Challenge, only to Khali chopped for their trouble.

- WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No def. Dolph Ziggler & Chris Jericho, after Kane Chokeslammed Ziggler.

- Vince McMahon revealed video evidence that The Shield and Brad Maddox were secretly on Paul Heyman’s payroll all along. But before Vince could fire Heyman, Brock Lesnar made his return and destroyed The Charmian!

Cena’s promo was shite. He basically devalued the World Championship, told us all it was near impossible for him to win the WWE title given the history with those two guys. Why not just wave a flag and say “I will win for sure, they can’t have me lose to these guys forever”. Aside from him turning heel to beat The ARock at Wrestlemania (which has to be doubted for the merchandise machine) this will be a complete failure. I thought the show was shit. Even Punk went on too long. The only highlight was Brock. I had to sit through two hours of shit to get there. Antonio Cesaro looks to be a fantastic talent, but The Shield? Do they talk? I have seen them on the last three shows and barely heard them utter a word. It won’t last. It’s a terrible name for a stable anyway.
