In all seriousness, this is a TV show, or as Linda McMahon said “a soap opera.” Most of the stuff they do is kayfabe so this isn’t making sense to me. Does this go along with the concussion clause they have (with head shots with chairs that they banned?)

Wow… Seems like Vince is running the company into the ground as of lately…
1> Released Danielson – biggest mistake possible… anyone who’s seen his ROH matches know how talented this man is, it’s no exaggeration.
2> Ban of over-head chairshots to the head – This was understandable as it can cause massive harm to the wrestlers.
3> Banning Chops – Seriously? This is considered one of the most basic moves performed by wrestlers and is one of the first things you learn and have done on you… Seems like Vince’s vindictive side is coming out directed towards Flair. Sounds like this douche bag is losing sight of what this business is all about.

At the rate WWE is going wrestlers are going to get fed up with whats going on and begin to leave. I think it’s beginning to get to the point where the politics involved are going to drive wrestlers away as it has in the past… Originally this was only a problem on RAW but appears to be blanketing over the entire company to include Smackdown (Where WWE wrestlers go to avoid the politics).

Bannning chops really? What is wwe’s problem? These stupid ass rules are what makes wwe as boring as it is. Obviously wwe does not give a shit about it’s fans that have watched it’s product since we were tiny kids, and I think it’s time that Vince mcmahon knew it. I say WWF fans should speak about what WWE is. Then maybe Vince and the creative team would realize that their show blows week after week. You have to remember that Vince isn’t in charge like he used to be. Ever since WWE went public, Vince has had to answer to a board of directors and the share holders. The number one goal used to be to build the best wrestling product in the world and grow their fanbase. As soon as they went public, that changed to make as much money as they can, as fast as they can. As far as Goldberg goes, I kinda agree with him. I not a huge Goldberg fan, but you have to admit no one has ever done a spear with the impact like Goldberg did. A spear from anyone else (especially Edge) looks weak in comparison. Of course, that’s not really Edge’s fault. Even if he wanted to do a harder spear, it wouldn’t be allowed due to fear of injury.

NO chops and No choking. Knife Edge Chops, one of the most basic and most used moves in wrestling is banned. Y? as for the no choking, well, that bans alot of submissions, i.e. Hells Gate, and the Chokeslam, technically. also, the Spear is over used. whether as a finish or a set up. although, there’s alot of over used moves in wrestling, it’s just some ppl do a certain move better than others.

You guys are so dumb. Goldberg isn’t trying to say that he invented the move. It wasn’t a popular move at that point. though it was used … it wasnt in THAT many of the workers moveset. Much like the tombstone piledriver WAS around before taker even in the wwf. TNA workers have used it and JAPAN workers use it all the time. But 20 years from now if 1 in every 8 wwe workers is using a tombstone im gunna say they arent original at all either.

EC Fuckin W is going to invade TNA along with Abyss, this is SICK! Sick of watching those panzies in WWE that can’t even chop each other anymore? Do yourself a favour, pick up the remote, change the channel to TNA, cause TNA is going to get fuckin hardcore! hey no one can say anything about Goldberg’s spear. Out of all the wrestlers who have used the spear, he is the only one who really made it look powerful. Actually rhyno was quite good.

I assume this decision is nothing to do with PG, it’s WWE being petty and trying to erase all wrestling history. But yeah on top of PG and the board it makes for a pretty terrible TV show let alone an awful wrestling promotion.

I don’t think this is going to affect Big Show. His are more like full hand slaps, not chops. Like others have said, I bet they’re either doing this due to Benoit doing it or more likely in my opinion, doing it so the fans don’t acknowledge Flair.

I was at a WWE Raw house show in January(I will never go to another one) and it was still PG. Though they usually don’t talk much, they just have their matches and leave. Plus you have to listen to all the little kids scream the whole time. If you want a better experience, go see Ring of Honor live when they come to your area. They put on a great show everytime because all of their shows are recorded and later released on dvd. I go everytime they come to the Chicago area and it’s always great. Plus, they usually have a meet and greet with an autograph signing.

The banning of the chop, if true (which I doubt) probably has more to do with the crowd’s reaction WWOOOOOO! I half way respected WWE for awhile, when they acknowledged other promotions, or at least wrestlers backgrounds. Now, with this silly “WWE Universe” thing, it’s like WWE’s mentality is there is no professional wrestling (or sports entertainment) outside of WWE.

Losing sight is something that happens in old age. He doesn’t care about wrestling anymore (don’t you remember in 2002(?) when he begat his “Kiss My Ass Club” crusaide?) and hasn’t. He just cares about his retirement plan since little Stephanie has become a mommy and Jr. Mac doesn’t seem to want to enherit the biz.

It does seem like some shady behind the curtain BS is going on though. Why would you bar such rating grabbers unless it were tied to some hidden agenda? You simply wouldn’t drive a company downhill unless you were cashing in somehow. Sadly, STEALING or LYING your way into money is the current trend of the world and in “Big Business”, which is too often NONE of OUR business – but it was OUR MONEY.
