JR On Paul Bearer Being Used On Raw, Undertaker’s Scheduled Raw Dates
By Keelan Balderson | Mar 13, 2013 | Wrestling News | Tags: Jim Ross, The Undertaker | Comments

Jim Ross says Bearer segment not distasteful:
In his latest JRSBARBQ.com blog Jim Ross addressed criticisms that Paul Bearer being used on Monday’s Raw was distasteful…

WWE TV personnel had a great night as the Paul Bearer tribute video, the HHH/Lesnar & Cena/Rock video packages were all excellent.

For those complaining about the usage of Paul Bearer’s image less than a week after his sudden passing last Tuesday at the age of 58, I suggest that they relax. I’m guessing that I knew Percy better than most complaining within the internet wrestling community and I can say without hesitation that he would have loved how his TV persona was honored notwithstanding how he contributed to one more storyline leading into WrestleMania. Punk interrupting the final moments of the opening Paul Bearer tribute was villainy 101.

As a matter of fact, I felt like Punk had more antagonist angst when Raw was going off the air than he did when he first arrived on the scene in the first segment of the show.

The idea is to motivate fans to pay to see the villain get his ass handed to him and if that theory is accurate then WWE succeeded in regards to the Taker-Punk ‘Streak’ match at WM29.

@CMPunk will always have his fans because many fans love to cheer excellence while others simply are being defiant but make no mistake about it this bout at WM29 will be emotion filled.

“The Highlight Reel”….hmmm.

The Undertaker on next 3 weeks of Raw:
The Undertaker is currently booked for the next three weeks of Raw headed in to Wrestlemania. The dates are as follows…

- 3/18 from Pittsburgh, PA
- 3/25 from Philadelphia, PA
- 4/1 from Washington, D.C.

He is also set to appear on the post Wrestlemania episode.

This is something I dislike about JR.. No matter what WWE does, he will never.. EEEEVERRRRR.. speak negatively about it. I understand that he is a company guy, but why even bother talking about it when you are only going to speak positively.. Or maybe my question should be to his Twitter followers, that why even bother asking about his opinion when you know he is gonna reply in a very indirect, sophisticated, and of course, pro-WWE manner..

I know what you mean, he’s often very dismissive and arrogant in his responses to fans, even if they make good points.

Yes, he is not as gentle and “good ol’” type as he is portrayed and perceived to be. I remember one such occasion from last year when he insulted a fan over a simple question, and then deleted his comment after it was reported by a few websites.

at least 5 appearances by taker this year, briliant! people need to relax in general, not just about wwe. too much complaining about things that doesn’t really matter.

That’s the IWC mentality…everything can be criticized.
