Matt Hardy backtracks on WWE return:
Former WWE star Matt Hardy backtracked on earlier claims that he expected he and his brother Jeff back in the WWE next year. During an interview with Monday Night Mayhem Hardy said he would have to be offered a lighter schedule:
“All I can say is in the wrestling business is ‘never say never.’ I can tell you right now, there have been some interesting phone calls during the last month or so.
“If I could command a schedule in WWE or TNA where I could work a day a week or a couple days a week, that would be helpful. I would definitely take it into consideration.”

It’s also believed that Jeff Hardy is closer to re-signing with TNA now that they’ve released his debut album.

Corgan wants to run WWE Developmental territory:
Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan revealed that he pitched his Resistance Pro promotion as a WWE developmental territory, during a recent interview with the New York Times newspaper.
“I think it would be to our credit to get people to the top level,” said Corgan who pitched the idea to Stephanie McMahon.
“I think it does a disservice to our talent to not prepare them for the next level.”
The award winning artist also discussed where he sees Resistance Pro in the future:
“We want to be able to expand to where we’re a national brand and can run pretty much anywhere in the country, My name and my access to certain things get help get us there, but it doesn’t mean we’re ready for that. We’re better off being a little bit more conservative.”

Corgan is obviously a huge wrestling fan and has previously appeared for the original ECW.
