Impact Rating rises:
This week’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling drew a 1.03 rating on Spike TV, with an average of 1.266 million viewers. This is up from the previous week’s 0.97 number.
The pre-PPV episode was focused around DOC (the former Luke Gallows) proving himself to fellow Aces & Eights members by attacking Sting with a hammer, and the Jeff Hardy/Austin Aries feud.
TNA President Dixie Carter updated fans on the storyline condition of Sting via Twitter. She wrote yesterday:
“Update on @Sting. He was kept overnight in the hospital for evaluation. Doctors are cautious on setting timetable for his return to ring.”
Here’s how this Sunday’s Turning Point card shapes up:
LADDER MATCH: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Austin Aries vs. (c) “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH
Bobby Roode vs. James Storm vs. AJ Styles
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Christopher Daniels & Kazarian vs. (c) Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez
NO DQ TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Magnus vs. (c) Samoa Joe
Devon vs. Kurt Angle
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Joey Ryan vs. Rob Van Dam
Tara & Jesse vs. ODB & Eric Young
DOC from Aces & 8s vs. Joseph Park
If you’ve not watched a TNA Before the Bell it’s well worth it. The sit-down interview clips are very well done and bring an element of realism that is lacking in WWE right now.

Austin Aries slams UK on Drugs & Gay Rights:
TNA star Austin Aries annoyed some UK fans on Twitter recently with comments about the UK’s view on Gay Rights and Drugs:
“The comments coming at me from the UK on drug/gay rights are making me proud to be an American?..and if you know me that’s saying something.”
His followers took the comment as being incentive because many UK citizens are in line with his views.
One fan wrote: “hey dude I’m from UK and all for gay rights and the legalizeation of weed ..we are not all bad.”
Another follower Tweeted: “please don’t label the UK as one entity. As we all label America as useless dipstick invasion monkeys, don’t live up to that.”

Roddy Piper shoots on Vince over his last Raw appearance:
Wrestling legend Roddy Piper continued his Twitter war against the McMahons by shooting on Vince over his last appearance on Raw. Hotrod wrote:
“I read that Vince was angry at the last Piper’s Pit. Not a word was said to me. For the record, I DIDN’T WRITE THAT CRAP! #bemadatwriters”
Piper took Linda McMahon to task earlier this week for spending nearly $100 million on two failed senate campaigns, but not providing medical coverage and travel expenses for WWE talent.
It’s safe to say the Rowdy one won’t be getting the call for a couple of years.
