Veteran calls Ryback‘s finisher weak:
It’s a thought that has probably crossed the mind of many wrestling fans, why was Ryback given a weak looking fisherman style Suplex for a finishing move? Former WWE star Val Venis pointed this out in a recent Tweet:
“I like Rybeck(spelling?) but dislike his finish. For such an impressive performer, Ryback’s finish is really weak looking. Hell, Ultimate Warrior’s s–tty finish looked better than Rybacks.”
We assume it boils down to originality. Giving him the Spear and Jackhammer would have been far too obvious and exacerbated the Goldberg comparisons. Although he used the F-5 in developmental, Brock Lesnar is back in the company so that’s off the cards. Some kind of Powerbomb could have been utilized, but Batista and Kevin Nash haven’t been gone for too long, and there may be an element of “it’s too dangerous these days,” from the office. Moves like the Chokeslam are also reserved for Kane and the Undertaker.
What about Ron Simmons’ Dominator, or Hardcore Holly’s Alabama Slam? Both are impressive and unlikely to result in wrestlers landing on their head.
What do readers think Ryback should use as a finisher?

Linda McMahon loses second senate bid:
Despite spending a record $100 million between the two campaigns, Linda McMahon has lost her second run for Connecticut Senate. Linda was on the Republican ticket and lost to Democrat Congressman Chris Murphy.
Despite the defeat McMahon remained positive on Twitter:
“Many thanks to all of my supporters, all of this could not have been done without you.”
What this means for the future of WWE is not clear. It’s been suggested that the current watered down PG product had something to do with McMahon’s political aspirations. She got enough heat as it was for WWE’s past controversial content, so the the theory is that it was altered to be kid friendly to prevent WWE from becoming a diversion.
That doesn’t however mean the script will go back to its old formula. There are certain investments and business relationships that are in place specifically because of the PG rating. WWE is a publicly traded corporation, so these ties can’t be ended over night. PG is still going to be around for at least another couple of years even if the ultimate plan is to revert back, and that’s not a given anyway.
If ratings and business itself continues to fall, then Vince is likely to change his mind.

Kurt Angle says he was scammed over social media app:
Ever eccentric TNA star Kurt Angle is raving on Twitter about being ripped off over a fitness social media app he paid to be developed.
“Please Listen. Wafi Wahidi and WabaSocial Scammed Me for $34,700. He Scammed Me. I don’t want to hurt Him. I Only Want My $ Back,” said The former Olympian.
He further explained:
“Wafi Wahidi was supposed to Make a fitness Apps. He Didn’t. I Spent $35k to Do It. Wafi failed by Oct24. I’m Suing this scumbag…I’m suing WabaSocial or Weave Social. Wafi Wahidi Changed the Co. Name. He is from Cali and Moved to Denver. He’s a crook.”
It’s not quite clear what the deal entailed, but $34,000 seems extremely steep to develop an application. Considering the incoherency of the Tweets it doesn’t seem angle has actually started legal proceedings just yet.

Raw rating drops:
This week’s episode of WWE Raw from England, drew a 2.78 cable rating on the USA Network, with an average audience of 4,070,000 viewers. Worryingly the audience tuned out going in to the third hour, suggesting a lot of people were not satisfied with the announced main event or are finding the 3 hours a drag. The rating is also down slightly from last week.

Madison Rayne reassures fans:
Fans are scratching their heads as to where TNA Knockout staple Madison Rayne has disappeared to. The former Knockout’s Champion hasn’t been seen on TV since the Summer when she was involved in a love storyline with referee Earl Hebner.
Rayne reassured fans on Twitter that she’s still employed by TNA, but gave no indication as to why the writing team haven’t given her something to do:
“Yes everyone, I am still employed. Happily. No need to keep asking/worrying. It is ALL good. LoL. Thank u for all the concern tho”
Considering Velvet Sky and Angelina Love walked away from the company, you’d think they’d be clambering to keep Rayne involved. Nonetheless the rumor is that Bruce Pritchard is not a fan of women’s wrestling and may not care whether she’s talented or not. Gone are the days of the Knockouts drawing the highest rated segments on Impact.
