Scott Steiner claims TNA and drunken Jeff Hardy injured him:
Scott Steiner’s ongoing counter-lawsuit against TNA Wrestling just took an interesting turn. Big Poppa Pump is now claiming that he was injured after TNA allowed Jeff Hardy to wrestle him at a live event on November 3, 2011, while under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs. Knowing the history of Jeff Hardy this could well be true, although it’s not clear what evidence Steiner has for his allegations.
“[TNA] knew or should have known that their agent, employee, representative, and/or servant was too incapacitated, intoxicated and/or under the influence of a controlled substance and should not have been allowed to enter the ring thus endangering the life, health, well being and safety of Scott Rechsteiner,” reads the lawsuit.
As a result of TNA’s “reckless judgment” Steiner claims Hardy injured his shoulder, neck and bicep. In addition Steiner says he’s suffering from nerve damage.
TNA famously allowed Jeff Hardy to compete inebriated at the 2011 Victory Road PPV. Sting quickly called the match and forced Hardy in to a pin. That being said that doesn’t mean this particular allegation from Steiner is true.
It what may hint that this is a deliberate attempt at screwing over Bischoff and Hogan for his own comedic pleasure, Steiner is going as far as saying the injuries made him unable to satisfy his wife. The “genetic freak” is seeking $750,000 in damages, and targets Hulk Hogan for “writing and approving the match.”
Steiner was initially served a lawsuit by TNA in June after he continually bashed the company on Twitter. Steiner counter-sued in September claiming TNA failed to pay him due royalties and that at no point did he contractually agree to not disparage the company, making his comments fall under free speech.
