By Liam | Jul 27, 2012 | Wrestling News | | Comments

- PWInsider has posted the buyrates of a couple of recent WWE events:

It should be noted that the No Way Out PPV did right around 200,000 buys, consistent with what Capital Punishment did last year. Over The Limit is still under 200,000 buys while Extreme Rules, with Brock Lesnar, did around 250,000 buys.

- PWTorch.com has posted some of the sales for some WWE DVD’s too. WWE has shipped 189,000 units of WrestleMania 28 DVDs to top their nine-month DVD chart, according to the latest monthly business figures released Thursday night. WM28 tops The #2 and #3-ranked Stone Cold and The Rock DVDs that are essentially even at 141,000 and 140,000 units shipped, respectively.

Overall for the second quarter, DVD units shipped were 837,000, up slightly from 830,000 in the first quarter. However, second quarter 2012 trailed Q2-2010 and Q2-2011 by a few hundred units.

- PWTorch.com is also reporting that the number of unique hits WWE.com is getting has actually spiked. It’s believed this is because of Pre-Shows, more exclusive content and more advertising. WWE saw a three-year high in page views during the quarter (April through June) and a three-year high in the number of minutes spent on the website per visit.

However on the other side of the spectrum, WWE’s attendance numbers has actually dropped. According to WWE’s latest monthly business figures released Thursday night. Average attendance excluding WrestleMania was 5,400, down slightly from 5,600 excluding Mania in Q2-2011 and 5,800 in Q2-2010.
