- WWE made a bit of a goof during the opening segment as Johnny announced that Big Show was rehired on Saturday, completely butchering the storyline that the Board of Directors would fire anybody who interfered in the match. Michael Cole managed to salvage things by stating that Show only verbally agreed on Saturday, but signed his contract on Monday morning.

- Prior to Raw going live Dean Ambrose defeated Alex Riley.

- After the show went off the air, the live crowd were treated to CM Punk defeating Daniel Bryan in a dark match main event.
