WWE Stock Value Goes Down, WWE PPV Buyrates Go Up

- WWE’s net income was below analyst’s predictions when their second quarter figures were released yesterday and this has caused their stock value to drop 6.6% bringing it to $1.12 per share. Revenues totaled $129.7 million as compared to $137.5 million in the 2007 second quarter.

- Despite this WWE’s PPV Buyrates for the quarter are up on all fronts:

WrestleMania: 1,188
Backlash: 200, 194
Judgment Day: 252, 242
One Night Stand: 194, 186
Night of Champions/Vengeance: 273, 243
Total: 919, 2,053

The only problem being is Wrestlemania fell within this quarter in 2007 but not this year in 2008, bringing the overall buyrate down.
