WWE Sends Mr Kennedy Packing After One Too Many Injuries

Days after sustaining an injury on Raw during his return match, WWE have come to terms on the release of Mr Kennedy. “WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors.”

Kennedy had been out of action since August last year with a torn shoulder, and recently caused a stir at Wrestlemania weekend when he appeared to be overly “dealing” with the pain. He later went on to claim the Wellness policy was unfair in recent media interviews, prior to his return.

Unfortunately it seems his career never quite got in to last gear, after several injuries, a humiliating Wellness violation and this latest accident.

Kennedy first signed with the company in 2005 after a brief jobber role in TNA.

  1. Hello TNA lol

  2. wwe’s loss will be tna’s gain. Kennedy has great skills and is good character wwe has really lost it tbh letting good talent go. pathetic excuse to sack the guy tbh ifi feel
wwe will be kickin themselves wen he becomes a big part in tna. the crowd loved him on raw last Monday

  3. I hate Mr Kennedy as a person. Everything I’ve heard of him outside the ring upsets me >.> his politics can be whatever he wants, whether people agree or not. That’s his business…but he shouldn’t be so…pushy and @$$holish about them.

However…I could care less when he’s on TV. He is one of the coolest characters the WWE’s had in a long time. He is amazing on the mic, not bad at all in the ring, and, given a chance, could have been the best thing a PG company could make use of.

He was the only thing on Monday I was happy to see, or enjoyed watching/hearing.

    >.> I might actually start watching TNA if they get him.

  4. Does WWE own the name “Mr Kennedy”? If so, it’d be funny to hear what elce he comes up with. I hope TNA dosent take him. It’ll become TSA aftter awhile. Juice it up and rage! Could be theire slogen. Someone has to take a stand. It’s out of hand and has been for years.

  5. sjcrows: Missed grammar class ey?

  6. that will teach him to talk shit about Vince and his programs

  7. Crazy…I mean I thought his injury was just a sprained wrist. I’m sure most of those guys get injuries like that all the time. So dumb!

  8. sjcrows, have you been keeping up with his injuries? Everytime he got a push, he would get injured again. I really don’t see this as a big loss at all. He was getting stale to begin with anyway.

  9. omg, wwe are screwed in the freaking head. they might as well just give him to that shit box tna.

  10. lol, he won’t be a big part of TNA when 350/365 days are spent on the sidelines cause he can’t go ten minutes without hurting himself.

  11. WWE are idiots!!!!

  12. Like I said the first time Kennedy’s strained wrist was reported ->WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors.

  13. this is bullshit! Kennedy is right the wwe wellness policy is unfair. man i was just getting excited about his return. he just fucking came back. is the wwe purposely firing stars to give tna some ratings? cuz it sure looks like it to me!!

  14. I, for once, don´t see it like that.Sure, Kennedy was great on the mic, but have you seen the time this guy spent on sick bay? He appears to be a little bit unreliable in what work ethics are concerned. He became a liability, so wwe severed ties with him. I wish him all the luck in thw world and I hope to see him inside the square/hexagonal/octagonal circle soon enough.

  15. I absolutely agree, TNA should be on the phone yesterday. They keep that terd santino and release Kennedy. What are they thinking?

  16. nah i dont agree with that kennedy 2 injury prone i mean he comes bk after a shoulder injury and hurts his hand he but yh he end up in wwe2 ( tna) we c how long it takes b4 he hurt there aswell he become a big part of tna how many times have we heard that

    1 kurt
    2 boooker
    3 sting
    4 jeff hardy
    5 ect

none o them were big part

  17. I was live at Raw. When Orton was talking, there was a small section that started a Kennedy chant and Orton looked them dead in the eye (sources say Kennedy and Orton got into it after the match cause of his injury). However, it was a let down in the arena that it was Kennedy being the 5th man.

And TBH, not a HUGE lose. He’s injury prone. It’s like the NBA and Gilbert Arenas and Tracy McGrady. Great players, BUT they don’t last and suck up your funds for players that WILL be there. I used to be a HUGE Kennedy fan, but watching him get hurt time and time and time and time again, it gets frustrating, PLUS the fact that he was reported a wreck during WM weekend, it doesn’t help his clause, PLUS failing a Wellness Test, come on.

He’ll probably go to TNA, they have a very easy schedule, BUT, again, will he be healthy? We know, once he gets to TNA, he will bash WWE left and right, if he won’t already do so in the interviews that will sure to follow. But he gets in the ring with guys like Styles, Joe, and Angle, he won’t last. He’ll be back on that shelf and just take away money that could be going to deserving stars.

  18. I once had high hopes for this guy but…damn! Are his limbs made of balsa wood or what?

  19. He’s no more injury prone than Kevin Nash was for a while. Poor guy couldn’t (to paraphrase Nash himself) answer the phone without tearing his quad.

He’s still around, though, and TNA seems to love him. I think they’ll take Kennedy and use him well.

  20. my point was that wwe giving people who could be a great talent the sack then wwe is going to grow stale using same champions triple h etc if the iconic wrestlers retire soon wwe not to build instead of firing talent and tbh atm it’s same matches with the same build ups that have been done to death stop sacking people who could be big in the company as for injuries look at the fact of cena, orton, Batista, edge triple h and taker all having to drop titles due to injury did wwe build on new talent? no they didn’t.

  21. wowee

  22. i never got why so many ppl liked the guy, he never really proved himself in the ring and his announcing gimmick was stupid n e way… not a big loss if u ask me, and tna should not sign him, he’s too injury prone

  23. Seeing as his whole gimmick is introducing his own name, a name that is owned by the WWE, it will be interesting to see what he actually does if he goes to TNA.

Yeah, he’s been injured a lot, but so has Gregory Helms and he wasn’t considered as valuable, yet he has a job. It’s obviously the build up of things such as speaking out on the wellness policy, one which is perfectly reasonable and is probally saving lives. If TNA sign him it will be another guy they take with drug problems and thats going to lead to a death for them in the future.

  24. McMahon uses the men and women at WWE with no regard for ethics and integrity. His company will disappear in the upcoming years due to his ridiculous ways. Good luck to Kennedy and other abused and humiliated WWE employees.

  25. if TNA takes him it will take money away from good workers who Dont juice up and complain about pain. Does TNA want all of the WWE sloppy seconds? They need better writing, not drama queens like Kennedy.

  26. This is bull. I was excited about Kennedy coming back and now this happens? BULL!

  27. wwe is fuckin stupid, like i said when they start gettin young good stars they get cut em all the time so i guess im goin start watchin tna since wwe is dead.

  28. I was not always a Kennedy Fan, but over the past two years, I have really grown to love his over the top personality. I hope to see Mr. Kennedy….Kennedy again in the ring.

  29. Kennedy did not get fired for being injury prone.
kennedy got fired for nearly hurting Randy Orton in the main event on raw this past monday night. Good luck Kennedy on his future, hope Tna sign him cause he would be really good there

  30. Good move Vince. Why continue to pay this losers downside guarantee because he cant wrestle. His movie sucked and he hasn’t been pushing much merchandise so cut him loose and let one of the second rate promotions pick him up
