- Press Release:
WWE have signed a deal with Synergex Corporation to provide international logistics and distribution services for the company in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. Synergex will provide packaging localization, sales, marketing, and logistics services in the licensed territory for WWE. Synergex will release original WWE documentaries, career profiles and match compilations focusing on the top WWE stars of the past and present, as well as WWE’s complete pay-per-view event line-up. This will amount to a minimum of 25 WWE releases in each territory for each year of the contract starting in Q4 2008. “We are pleased to welcome Synergex to our growing list of international home video licensees and partners” said Joel Satin, Vice President of Home Entertainment & Books, WWE. “This agreement supports WWE’s international expansion push into Latin America, and gives us local
expertise to distribute our DVDs and increase our retail presence”.

The American Bank Center has posted the following MySpace bulletin regarding Monday Night Raw on October 20th in Corpus Christi, Texas:
“Receive free admission and be a part of the production by participating as an audience seat filler while the performance is being filmed! Seeking persons 18 years or older to come enjoy the show while working as a seat filler. Limited seats available. If you are interested and would like more details please let us know.”
Interested individuals can contact the American Bank Center via MySpace at: http://myspace.com/americanbankcenter
[Note I'm not sure if this is due to poor ticket sales or they are looking for plants to pretend to cry or whatever].
- Here are the latest highlights from Jim Ross’ JRSBARBQ.om blog:
On Upcoming Starrcade DVD:
“Just spent most of the day Monday (these 4 a.m. wake up calls are killing me) working on an upcoming Starrcade DVD and hosting the final, top 5 bouts in Starrcade history for WWE 24/7.”
On Matt Striker:
“I enjoyed working w/ Matt Striker, who was named after the character in the film “Airplane” (that’s not true…is it?) on Tuesday night’s ECW broadcast. Striker has a bright future and could well find himself in line for a promotion if he continues to improve. I like a guy who preps for his broadcast and Matt does his homework. I hope you will check out the show.”
On Jake Swagger:
“Jack Swagger (nice name) is turning a few heads within the WWE. Swagger has a fair ways to go but man does this athlete have potential. He will always be the 2nd best wrestler from his hometown of Perry, Oklahoma behind the greatest living wrestler, Dan Hodge.”
[Editors Note: Swagger has always been praised for his in ring work, but is considered to have a lack of personality. It seems they'll be using that to push him as a legitimate athlete type].
- On Jack Brisco:
“Fellow Oklahoman and WWE HOFer Jack Brisco celebrated his 67th birthday a few days ago and it reminded me of a 60 minute draw I refereed between Hodge (OU alum) and Brisco (OSU alum) in Little Rock when the amazing Brisco was NWA Champ. Remind me to tell you about it some day. It was a clinic to say the least.”
