WWE India Notes, Khali Notes, Angelina Love Update, Linda Caught Out

- Thanks to Jaspreet Singh:

There is news going around over the net that Ten Sports has picked up WWE SUPERSTARS for India. Well, this is true but no episode of the show has been televised yet, as the people at Ten Sports are not sure what is going on with their schedules. Initially, the advertised Superstars for Friday, Sept. 18th. But it was not shown.

And suddenly, PPVs were shifted to Sundays from Wednesdays. I missed most of the Breaking Point due to this change. I could only watch the Undertaker Screwjob.

Coming to the point, Superstars was then advertised for Monday, Sept. 21st. Again, it was not televised. As of now, Superstars is being advertised for Friday, Sept. 25th.

- WWE’s Indian website (wwe.sify.com) is still promoting Breaking Point as an upcoming event, even though it has aired in India. And, Cyber Sunday is being advertised in that name only and not as Bragging Rights. More interestingly, Cyber Sunday is being advertised for January, 24th.

- Speaking of India the Great Khali was interviewed on his native website. In regards to recent kiss cam he said, “It was fun to be involved with something different, but I’m still here to wrestle.” He also mentioned “Wrestling was my first calling; it was something I always wanted to do,” and “I’m having fun and some great experiences with WWE, I’m not looking to give it up anytime soon.”

It seems Khali is dedicated and wants to stay around for the foreseeable future.

- On the TNA front Angelina Love was at the TV tapings Monday in Orlando because she has yet to move back to Canada and wait for a Visa. She cannot risk wrestling because she and TNA could face serious legal consequences. In theory she should have been deported and blocked form returning to work for several years. It could be that the authorities don’t actually know yet.

- Press Release:
HARTFORD, Conn. — Linda McMahon’s wrestling empire urged young adults to vote in 2008, but the former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO didn’t always follow suit.

McMahon, who has stepped down from her job to seek the Republican nomination in Connecticut for the U.S. Senate, acknowledges on her campaign blog that she didn’t vote in the 2008 presidential primary after Sen. John McCain became the presumptive GOP nominee.

In a Sept. 16 blog entry titled “One of My Regrets,” McMahon said she also missed a general election in 2006 and several local elections.

“I talk all the time about how important it is for people to vote. And it is. Yet, I haven’t always been the best example myself,” she wrote. “I regret it, I apologize, and I don’t make any excuses for it.”

State records show McMahon voting twice in Connecticut, in the 2002 and 2008 general elections.
