WrestlingTruth Is Hiring New Staff
(Email typesthetalk@gmail.com, or leave a comment below)
WrestlingTruth.com is hiring new staff; kick start your writing resume and get your work read by thousands of wrestling fans everyday! This is the perfect platform for aspiring journalists, writers and those looking to work in new media.
There are several positions to be filled:
Live Event Correspondents:
Attending an upcoming WWE or TNA house show, or TV taping, wrestling convention or signing? WrestlingTruth has correspondents in most major cities, but it’s not enough! We want you to send in results, or write a full report whenever you attend a wrestling show. You will be fully credited for your work, with the option of payment if you prove consistent. Results are the main thing, but keep your eyes peeled for the loudest crowd reactions, if anyone gets injured, interesting outcomes, or any “incidents.”
TNA Impact Correspondent:
If you are a regular or semi-regular visitor of the TNA Impact TV tapings in Orlando, Florida, we want you! You can either write a full report, or send in a quick list of results. If you can do this job regularly, and get the results to me before any other site you will be PAID! and given your own account so you can post directly to the main page. Hell if I ever finish writing by TNA book, I’ll plaster your name on its own page, how about that?
Quirky TV Show Recappers:
Perhaps the wrestling fan’s dream job, a TV show recapper simply watches wrestling and recaps all the action, adding their own opinion (no matter how insane). We are are looking for reports following Raw, ECW, Impact and Smackdown. This is how most wrestling writers start out and develop their critical thinking skills, so join the crew.
Columnists:
Am I the only guy out there; what happened to all the columnists? Back in 2002 – 05, everybody and their grandmother was a wrestling columnist; now the same boring ass writers appear on the same boring ass sites, with the same boring ass opinions. This job is limitless and there’s also no limits to where it can take you. If you have something you want to get off your chest about wrestling, then write a few hundred words, send it to me and get featured on the site. If you can churn a new column out regularly, you’ll get your very own page!
News Tid-Bits:
Got any interesting facts, saw any wrestling mentioned on TV, did WWE.com make a goof, or did you see the Undertaker whilst buying groceries? If you have anything of note, no matter how trivial, send it along and I’ll stick it in with a news post, fully crediting your work.
For those thinking this is a waste of time and writing about wrestling is pointless, think again. I got myself a place at college, a career in freelance writing and a website that makes a good income during a recession, from writing about wrestling!

I definitely want to start a regular coloumn. It’s something i’ve wanted to do in such a long time.
Recapper would definitely be fun or a columnist without a shadow of a doubt. It isn’t like I’m not always going on about something or other to my friends every day whether it be recaps or just ranting and raving. Why not make it useful? I’ll try and have the couple hundred words to you sometime today.
I would love to do something being a massive fan of this site and also a member of your forum but dont think i will because im no journalist tbh lol, i just wanted to get my name on this awesome site lol x x
The TV Recapper seems to be right up my alley. Pun intended.
My friend actually referred me to this site a while back because it had great inside sources and information.
I’ll def. try to crank out something within the day.
This site is amazing and I’d love to be apart of it.
To anyone that wants to do columns or recaps. Just send one along at the next best opportunity. For example after tonight’s Impact, recap it and send it in.
I’m not strict with columns at all. You can send me one tomorrow and not again for 5 months. It’s only good to write when you have a burning desire, so anyone just feel free to email me columns at anytime and they’ll be considered.
I’ve been a die hard WWE/F fan for about my whole life and never miss a single episode. Of course all of us are hoping but aware that the Age of Attitude will come back, but that is never gona happen. I would definitly love to write columns or recaps of weekly episode, anytime!!!
Quick questions, Im interested in becoming a columnist for this site only but is their any rules on language? Since i like to express my opinions and some times they get out of hand lol.
Joe, sure you can cuss every now and then, but don’t do it for the sake of it.
I’d really like to do either recapped or coloumnust I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was 8 and regular watch wwe and tna and thinknitd be great to bring my views to the site about wrestling
Feel free to send in a sample, or recap tonight’s impact or tomorrow’s ECW.
i could handle recapping and column writing, as well as trying to get to the multitude of shows in the NYC/New Jersey area and do some writing on that…i will try to submit following the next televised show
Great, in case you didn’t already know – typesthetalk@gmail.com
Hey, I’d enjoy doing a recapped coloumn of either monday night raw (preferably) or friday night smackdown!, but as i live in the UK, they would have to be recapped of the televised version.
No problem, try doing tonight’s Smackdown and send me it as a sample.
I would be interested in helping with the website, Since i have experience with wordpress. I think that if i became a news reporters this site could grow, One person posting news is not a news site.
Thanks for the interest but I’m only really looking for columnists, recappers and correspondents. I pretty much have the news covered; I don’t think I’d trust anyone else with it. I have my contacts and information sources in place. It wouldn’t really work with anyone else. But if you have any tidbits, feel free to send stuff along.
Just wonderering! Being in the UK Raw is on late and have College in the morning and most of the time out on friday nights for Smackdown i watch them the next day. How long after the show is O.K to write a recap for the website?
I usually say 24 hours. Because most people that read them are either in your position and want to read ahead of time. Or they are just off watching the show and want to vent about it.
Do you get the PPVs?
Or maybe you’d be better reviewing DVDs?
Yes i do get the PPVs and i am a regular buyer of WWE DVDs so reviewing the DVDs would be great! I am actually looking to buy a new one sometime this weekend (possibly Eddie Guerreros – Viva La Raza or Mr Perfects DVD) so once i have watched either one, i will write a review and send it to you. would that be OK?
Yeah, sounds good. I’ve actually been meaning to review those, so if you do well it’ll be a weight off my mind
I would love to do some work for you. I can review PPV, DVD, live events you name it. I have been a wrestling fan since I was 7 years old. I am now 21 and have many , many opinions on the way things are being done in WWE. I can write a column, I can post blogs, do reviews it doesn’t matter just let me know how I can help!
Sure, whenever you have something in mind just email it over an if it’s good I’ll put it up. We’ve had some good columns so far.
Hi, I’d be interested in doing some TV show reviews for Impact, or maybe ECW/ROH, anything really.
Being from the UK we get Impact shown a few days after the US so a recap would be kind of redundant, but a review piece could work. I could do TNA PPV reviews too and a few columns.
I feel ya. I’m also from the UK. ECW/Impact recaps would be great. Not many people do those.
I would like to do smackdown reviews occasionally and news tid-bits occasionally also
Sure, whenever you feel you have a news worthy item just email it over for posting. As for Smackdown recaps send one along next week.
if i was hiried i would love to take the job im a hard worker im
outgoing i’ll try my best.
Send along a sample, or do a recap and I’ll see if its good enough.
