Vince’s Birthday, Foley Praises TLC Match, WWE Only Cable Channel?

- Today is Vince McMahon’s 64th birthday! Wow, remember when he still had jet black hair?

- TNA star Mick Foley praised the TLC match between CM Punk and Jeff Hardy during a Myspace update. He said:

“I was real proud of both Punk and Jeff Hardy for giving such gutsy performances at Summerslam. Those TLC matches are brutal on the body though, and I hope both guys are given a proper chance to rest up.”

- In an update to previous rumors that WWE are planning to launch their own cable channel, it was revealed in the LA Times that they plan to go through with it within 2 years.

Considering WWE’s tape library, ability to create brand new programming on the fly, all of their movies and future projects, there is more than enough content that they can work with.

The main programming will still be on the other networks though. Vince said, “It won’t be a threat, it’ll be an integration, it’s good for `RAW’ to be on USA.”

Also in the article Maria noted that Divas are now punished for showing too much skin, and Ted DiBiase praised the Wellness Policy, claiming wrestlers would rather play Nintendo now that go out partying.
