Vampiro Breaks His Back In Mugging Mishap
As I noted early this week, word was that former WCW star and Mexican legend Vampiro had been in a career threatening accident. It turns out to be quite a shocking story.
Vampiro was sleeping in his Guadalajara home when several men broke in to his property in an effort to kidnap him for ransom, which is a major problem in Mexico.
The initial break-in did not stir him, and before he even had chance to wake up police that were patrolling nearby burst through his front door. This did wake him, and in a panic the wrestler jumped out of his bedroom window, 15 feet to the floor and broke his back. He snapped four vertebrae in his middle and lower back and re-injured two herniated discs in his neck.
