Uprising – Week 1
Across the world the WWE Universe is calling out for the old age of wrestling. They want the true wrestling of Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair and Four Horsemen of the 80s. They yearn for the Attitude Era’s unbound theatrics of Bret Hart, The Rock & Stone Cold. And they despise the movement of entertainment slowly falling from its peak with the loss of Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley and more recently Mr. Kennedy…
Kennedy…
But as this era is fading out to be reborn there are shimmers of hope for a new age of wrestling that will shine through the dawn of Children’s Censoring to become legends. This is the Uprising…
The Hart Dynasty
Lately we’ve been hearing about nothing but legacies and next generation superstars. Yet on ECW the true reincarnation of a legacy has been born as a Dynasty.
Starting with the beautiful Natalya, she possesses a natural talent and the training to become a true Women’s Champion. Unlike Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool, she isn’t just another skinny, blonde beauty developing over time because she’s already at her prime. Her Smackdown career was dashed and diced only to promote inadequate wrestlers like Cherry (I know you don’t remember her) because of the status quo set for females on the brand. Despite this I’m certain her skills will make their mark if put against true divas like Beth Phoenix or Mickie James.
DH Smith has the innate look of a future Intercontinental, U.S. or even World champion. Furthermore, the ruthlessness he showed in his debut and debut match proves he can compete with the top heels. But the looks and display isn’t the only thing the “Crown-Prince” brings to the table. Smith has to ability to learn and grow, as he chose to leave the WWE during his first appearance to better mature and nurture his talent. This alone already gives Smith a responsible outlook on how the company looks meaning his main event status may be solidified in stones.
Lastly but not least is the “Catalyst of the Dynasty” TJ Kidd. If his run against Christian wasn’t an indication of his prowess then ECW truly has no way into redemption. Simply and undeniably Kidd could make for the cocky talent that strikes up great rivalries between high flyers just to prove his skills. However without a cruiserweight division pushing him into tag team or upper mid-card battles would definitely fill a great void.
Future Potency: ((Where I see the future of featured wrestler’s career heading in the long run.))
Group –
The Hart Dynasty should make a good little takeover of ECW if a member is highlighted towards the championship. But to make the faction as powerful as previous forms they’d have to be pushed either as a dominate stable on Smackdown or a rivaling group against Legacy on Raw. However, it’s expected that a fourth member will be needed to make a job to either large brand.
Solo –
Natalya will certainly be pushed to gain the women’s title, most likely 3-5 times before being forced to push new female talent.
TJ Kidd will probably end up at the mid-card level by the peak of his career being a Jeff Hardy type, not quite good enough. But if WWE doesn’t waste him against new stars he could just have tremendous rivalries to highlight his performances.
DH Smith could push into the leader role that mirrors Triple H in DX. Giving the right movement he will definitely be a world champion.
The Match-Up: ((Possible matches that could highlight the superstar’s career.))
The Hart Dynasty vs. Legacy – a faction powerhouse match that could turn out to the formation of an even more powerful super faction.
Natalya vs. Beth Phoenix – two of the strongest Divas in WWE this could present a more physical reminiscent of Trish & Lita matches.
TJ Kidd vs. Evan Bourne – Kidd’s arrogance opposing Bourne’s charisma has the potential to be a deepened rivalry for ECW fans.
DH Smith vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. – as a dream match between former FCW partners I’m sure these two will meet along the line in a world championship match and you’ll see for yourself why this is the Match-Up
Prime Spot: ((Extra section for superstars that still got it and aren’t going nowhere; hopefully.))
“The Rated R Superstar”
I may be bias in this decision because I think Edge is the best superstar today. But let’s face it he’s the best superstar today. A strong villain in any story line with mic skills that’d make a monk hate him and being plugged with 9 world title reigns in the course of three years makes it evident that Edge is in the Prime Spot.
Crowd Attention: ((Who has the WWE Universe on the edge of their seatsu?))
Christian vs. TJ Kidd
For the first time since Bobby Lashley was on ECW, I saw the crowd actually get hyped up for a match like they’d never seen wrestling before. With dominating moves by the champ and miraculous kick outs by the Kidd its plain to see that the two were actually enjoy themselves. Simply put, its matches like this that makes you believe that wrestling is real and not just scripted.
Dead Weight: ((Who’s getting a push towards the door?))
Mike Knox
After having a great rise up on Raw through his assaults on Rey Mysterio he’s drafted to Smackdown and is overshadowed by R-Truth. If Kane is calling it quits then WWE needs to find a new monster besides this jolly fur ball of joy.
Have a request on who should be featured on Uprising or you have a complaint about my opinions, then leave a comment and I’ll address it.
Next Week: ((Expect it in upcoming additions.))
“The Shaman of Sexy” John Morrison

i really like jack swagger, i think he’s got tons of potential
you should feature kofi kingston
Good read. Have a general question to the whole English speaking internet though: Why does everyone nowadays write “I may be bias”, when this is clearly wrong and should be “I may be biased”?
am enjoying watching The Hart Dynasty they all know how to wrestle really there the only reason i watch ecw
yea ecw is the show i wnat to watch but then i see there undercard and think well f*ck that
i believe jack swagger should be put in one of these stable he is a definite guy you can build into a heel like john cena character. i see ted debiase going far as a single competetor rhodes is a midcard and they need to continue building mvp. Kennedys release was a bad idea it really hurt with hbk, taker and triple out. kennedy will be huge in tna but i wouldnt be suprised if they do to kennedy what they did to jeff hardy by watching him win the championship in tna and then bring to wwe as an immediate push. ( hey! they did it for jeff now look at him) tna does have young talent they can build on to be a competeter but there are guys in wwe that have to start stepping it up if they want to make it primetime. ( main event status)
Two minor complaints… Hulk Hogan sucked as a wrestler, just had the right gimmick. Bret Hart he wasn’t even in the WWE for the Attitude Era. I believe the Attitude Era was born the day after Wrestlemania 14 or shortly after, Bret had been gone for atleast 5 months by this point.
Natalya is great, I can’t wait to see her as a predominant wrestler (again), rather than a manager.
Kidd has all the makings of being a world champion in my opinion, with the WWE allowing more and more smaller guys into the company, I think the high flying style in around ten years time will be what the world championship is about. This will mean the “Giants” will be more Cena/HHH size.
I like everything said on this page. I think Swagger, Kofi, Shelton Benjamin, The Miz should’ve been mentioned on the uprising. But i was wondering, who else is out there thats a second generation superstar that could join Legacy?
I bet that debiase will leave legacy. But will Hart take his place or will the Hart Dynasy just join Legacy?
The Hart Dynasty needs one more person before they take on Legacy though.
on a side note, ECW and Raw should just join. Have monday and tuesday nights, bring back the cruiserweight title back and make WWE the shit again. I’ve been watching since the IRS days til now lol. Bring back the years between that!!
To the guy who said Bret wasn’t apart of the Attitude Era…He wasn’t apart of much of it…BUT, Bret was still in the WWF when the attitude era was starting to kick off, he actually helped it get going.
And it would be disasterous if Hart Dynasty joined Legacy…Why? Because Hart Dynasty is a legit dominant stable, Legacy is a bunch of jobbers. I have no clue why the WWE has made their main heel stable so weak. I wish Legacy would get tough and win some matches. It’s embarrasing that Legacy loses to Shane McMahon.
I also think that the WWE should put the hart dynasty on RAW or Smackdown in a few months, rather then waiting for next years draft. By that time Hart Dynasty might lose their momentum.
