Update On Rey Mysterio Injury, DVD Rankings, Overseas Notes and More

- As noted in Jim Ross’ latest blog Rey Mysterio injured his knee Tuesday night during his match for Superstars tonight. As a result a lot of Smackdown had to be re-written during the tapings. The scheduled plan for the main event was a Mysterio against Edge that would turn in to a tag match with Mysterio and Jeff Hardy vs Edge and Chris Jericho. It ended up being just Edge against Jericho.

No details on the severity, but his Judgment Day match is in jeopardy.

- WWE captured the top spot in this week’s Billboard Recreational and Sports DVD rankings, although UFC posted high and TNA also did well, which is rare:

1. WWE: Greatest Stars of the 90’s
2. UFC: Best of 2008
3. UFC 92: Nogueira vs. Mir
4. NFL: Super Bowl XLIII champions – Pittsburgh Steelers
5. TNA: Jeff Jarrett – King of the Mountain
6. TNA: Cross the Line vol. II
7. UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar
8. WWE: Best of Raw – 15th anniversary 1993-2008
9. Bluetopia
10. WWE: Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event

I’ll be reviewing the Jarrett DVD over the next few days.
