Torrie Wilson Hospitalized, Johnny Devine Update, Lou Albano Update, JR
- Thanks to Davey:
Former TNA star Johnny Devine hasn’t been wrestling lately because he was at Broadcasting school in Canada. After graduating he will be joining Live Audio Wrestling host John Pollock to do a show on the Fight Network.
- Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson was recently Hospitalized after an adverse reaction to some medication. On Twitter she thanked Jesus:
“Big scare for me tonight!!! I was in the emergency room. Thought I was heading up to heaven for a minute there…like I put on my Twitter page earlier, thanks for letting me stay a bit longer Jesus!”
- Speaking on behalf of the Albano family, Wrestler’s Rescue is sad to report that Captain Lou Albano has fallen ill, and is currently at home with his family under hospice care.
Albano is not suffering from cancer, according to his family. While the family is grateful for the in outpouring of affection, please respect their privacy during these tough times.
Wrestler’s Rescue is collecting donations to be forwarded to the Albano family for medical expenses.

- Jim Ross is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog post; here are the wrestling highlights:
On Raw:
“One element that I really enjoyed regarding Raw was the various “hooks” that were utilized to keep me tuned in and to not channel surf as much during the commercial breaks. In my opinion, every episodically produced TV show, wrestling or otherwise, should do al they can to keep their audience emotionally invested from segment to segment but to also promote “next week.” Getting a TV audience to think “next week” is a huge matter when producing weekly, episodic TV.”
On Guest Hosts:
“I did not dislike Nancy O’Dell or Maria Menounos’ efforts on Raw as they were non abrasive, executed smoothly, performed what most would have expected them to do plus they will provide ample opportunities for WWE to garner additional publicity from their appearances. Isn’t that the primary reason for “Guest Hosts” anyway? If any one thinks that a guest host is going to walk onto Raw and deliver in a 5 star, wrestling main event, then think again. It’s all about the sizzle and facilitating the WWE talents to provide the steak.”
On Stoop Dogg:
“Snoop Dogg is the host next week and Snoop is really a cool guy who “gets it” and is a legit fan. Too bad that I won’t be there to see him in person…..poor me. I assume that Snoop will interact with Santino, which might be funny, and the talented Chris Jericho. What if Snoop is a closet Smackdown fan and makes the Raw fan favorites life a little uncomfortable Monday night?”
On Damage:
“Speaking of Austin, his new film “Damaged” debuted at #5 at the I-Tunes UK store and #3 on the overall DVD sales at HMV which is the biggest retailer in the UK. That’s a great start for “Damaged” and I encourage you to check it out when it becomes available in your neck of the woods. Steve is apparently going to start filming another movie in Vancouver in the next few weeks. He’s a busy ‘Texas Rattlesnake.’”
On War Games:
“WWE owns the “War Games” name as it came with the other intellectual property in the fire sale with WCW. Having a War Games themed PPV would create awareness for a new audience of younger fans many of whom have never seen a live presentation of this unique match. Plus, it might open the door for a DVD on this topic.”

not for nothing, but why cant vince pay albanos medical bills. why does this man need donations!? albano gave ALOT to the wwe!why not give back!? vince, your loaded, pay up and show some respect.
