TNA Starts New Show In The UK, Mr Kennedy Returns, No More Hardcore

- As confirmed on Jeremy Borash’s official Twitter account, TNA are set to launch a new show entitled “TNA Epics”, which will begin airing in the UK on Bravo before being shopped around to other international markets and the US. It also has the potential to been shown online. Mick Foley will host the the new show.

Although the specifics are not yet known, one would assume that it will showcase footage from the TNA archive.

- In WWE news, Mr Kennedy returned to the ring last night at the Florida Championship Wrestling television taping, although he was protected in a 6 man tag.

- In a recent interview with ECW original The Sandman, he revealed that WWE management specifically told him that WWE will never be hardcore again and that their current brand has come too far to go back and cater to the “few hundred” rabid fans that watched the original ECW.

  1. That’s Bull. They need to pay attention, the poor 1st quarter was under the kids initiative,if they want $$$$$$ Than Make Hardcore and xtreem

  2. And that news is the End of ECW.

  3. I’ve had about enough of this “kids initiative”. How far is everyone gonna let this go? ECW dosent come on till ten? What kid is watching that show on a school night? This new wave of censorship has nothing to do with kids. This is about something elce I think. This would be a good time for TNA to raunch it up “attitude” style. I can’t take too much more of this.

  4. i think mr mcmahon until now didn’t knew the reason behind first quater poor earning . and wwe really need to get hardcoreness back

  5. i don’t get you “dorkstar”, if i remember correctly you attacked me for complaining about the same issues your complaining about right now. as far as tna goes with the hardcore style i have seen small flashes of the old ecw when the crowd gets the tna chants going during a match, but i haven’t seen it enough, maybe once or twice the whole crowd was “really” into it. WWE absolutely sucks, the show has gone from entertaining all age groups to catering to a bunch of little turds and junior high sluts in training, i’ve had it with them. my advice, jump to TNA.. i find the show very entertaining.

  6. ECW of old is still 10 times better than wwe right now.

  7. yeah I do contradict myself alot. It’s fun to say one thing, then do another. I refuse to be responsible for anything I say! (LOL)
As far as “jumping” to TNA. Let’s be honest Kenny. were geeks, we watch it all! I don’t think the answer to stoping Vince (and he MUST be stopped) is “hardcore” necessarily. I just think that if enough of us geeks spoke our mind as often as possible. JJ would listen.
Its funny watching the McMahons as babyface. It reminds me of fuc*ing televangelism. This “kids” movement is EVIL!

  8. ok I see it like this. WWE attitude got many fans. Divas in playboy kept us all wondering who was next. We are the base and now the product they sold us has gone g rated ? WWE gave us a product that was pandered to adults and now they pull the plug on us? Hope they wake up we are the fan base. We make the money and buy PPV’s and 500 dollar tickets. Kids are kids and we should not have to be force fed kiddie approved shows.

  9. i still tune in to wwe just to see what’s goin’ on, then turn it off most of the time cause its a boring show right now. what i really mean by jumping to tna is that i dont think enough people watch and give the show a chance. yeah, i agree, seeing vince, shane and company as babyface doesn’t really go with me either… now if they were smart and had shane join legacy bein that hes a 3rd generation guy, it might be worth watching where that would take the storyline

  10. actually,he’s 4th generation. This time, I completely agree with you Kenny. Everyone needs to give TNA a chance. The difference between the two brands is; TNA cares about what the “fan base” thinks. WWE has pretty much given the middle finger to the long time supporters. I’ll be honest… I’m pissed off!

  11. Can we be honest about this. Times are changing. The attitude era has been and gone and if it does come back it won’t be in the next few years. The WWE is changing in the same way it did in the 80’s, then the 90’s with attitude and now this more child friendly approach. If you don’t like the WWE then just don’t watch it, its pretty easy to be honest, but don’t come on here whining because its not as good as it was in the “good ol days”.
I like TNA, but it doesn’t mean I have to “jump” to it. I can watch both. And as far as TNA goes, yes it has got some good parts like the tag team division, however it also does too many things that have been done before, AKA Main event Mafia = NWO.

  12. - WWE announced the following on their website earlier this evening:

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Mr. Kennedy (Ken Kennedy) as of today, May 29, 2009. WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors.
