TNA Star Quitting? AJ Styles Fights With Russo, ODB Signs New Deal
It seems the TNA locker room is getting quite hectic. Whether Hulk Hogan coming in has anything to do with it is unknown, but their is definitely some tension. Firstly Frankie Kazarian who plays the Suicide character asked for his release at last week’s tapings because he was unhappy in the role, but Daniels and Samoa Joe reportedly calmed him down. As of now he is still with the company.
Also at the last set of tapings AJ Styles and Vince Russo got in to a heated argument backstage surrounding AJ’s title run. Styles feels he is being booked as a weak champion, whereas Russo was reportedly “high and mighty” about even giving AJ a chance. Giving the impression that AJ should be thankful.
Russo has been AJ’s main supporter over the years, but the relationship seems to have gone slightly sour.
This is on top of the previously reported story about Kevin Nash going off on one at management for not stopping Chris Sabin’s match and checking if he was alright after a painful looking move.
- Somebody looking towards a positive future with TNA is Knockout ODB. Dixie Carter write on Twitter, “Sitting here with Knockouts Champ ODB. I just signed her new multi year deal.”

Sometime megalomania gets to the best of them. If you really think about it, ALL the stars and performers should be grateful for the opportunity just to be in a big company. Period.
Think about all the men and ladies that work their butts off to get nowhere but do it because they love it and are just hoping to get that one small shot. I don’t feel sorry for any of them most of the time.
Wow Russo is a Styles supporter? With a friend like him who needs enemies. If TNA is gonna push the younger and less established performers AJ is where they should start then Daniels because AJ and Daniels are TNA and what TNA is all about.
You have a point, but I can also see why AJ might be upset – he started in a generation where he’s going to be old before the old timers actually quit. Some people from AJ’s era will never make it to the top because the other guys didn’t move on. Wrestling has become and old man’s sport.
From my experience the stars don’t get big and stay on top til they enter there late 30’s early 40’s. There are exceptions but that is not the norm. For every Brock, Randy Orton, and The Rock, there is Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and several more who paid their dues and made a lasting name by being around for a long time.
