TNA Star Jumps To WWE, What Now For Hornswoggle? Taz Disses New ECW
- Former TNA Lance Hoyt, who was released from the company in February, has signed a developmental deal with WWE. He definitely has the size WWE tends to favor in young talent.
- Several ideas have been discussed internally regarding the direction to take the Hornswoggle character now that he’s no longer with Finlay. One idea was to actually team him with Festus.
WWE sees Hornswoggle as a big part of the Kids Initiative and he won’t be going anywhere soon.
- Former WWE announcer Taz continued his Q&A’s today on his official Facebook page and had this to say about the modern ECW belt:
“I hate it. To compare what I held to that MONSTROUS HUNK OF SILVER they have is comical….but hey, at least its consistent what everything else in comparing the original ECW to WWE version of ECW…..there is NO comparison at all. Just change the name to anything but ECW and it will be a pretty cool 60mins. But at times, I guess some must attempt to re-write history in in their own eyes.”

Taz has a good point they should just swallow their pride and rename ECW because as long as it is called ECW it will always be compared with the original and lets face it, it will NEVER be E-C-W
I was just thinking about that while watching Tuesday. It’s nothing like The old ECW. In some ways it better (production for example) but overall, no. What made ECW so great was… It wasn’t made for kids and they didn’t care about offending anyone.

original ecw was some of the best wrestling i ever seen, now it’s a joke
When ECW got bought out they were suppose to do shows just like how ECW would do shows. But seeing Vince doesnt want things someone elses way and want things his way well he ruined a good thing and now the show sucks. I dont watch ECW anymore.
I actually really enjoy the ECW show but I do agree with them naming it something else. How about ECW? Its not as if many people have fond memories of that.
Somone above commented that “tazz was right and they should do ecw moves like old” Thats not what hes saying. He’s saying that Its nothing like the old ECW show so they should just change the name. That way the’d get rid of a lot of haters.
ECW has more wrestling in one hour than raw does in two most of the time.
