TNA Report From Dublin Ireland
My first show
Last Saturday October 2nd after hundreds of hours of watching TV and DVD’s after playing so many games after reading book after book, magazine after magazine I attended my very first wrestling show.
TNA went to Dublin Ireland and I went to TNA.
After I got over the initial shock of the wrestlers having jumped out of my TV I took a moment to take it all in. Over all it was a pretty good show. Although there was one big disappointment AJ Styles “The phenomenal one” couldn’t make it. I know his wife just had a child but I was still disappointed. One other thing I found odd was the appalling lack of merchandise. The only things they sold were a couple of t-shirts and a programme that didn’t even include the matches. I was expecting DVD’s, action figures etc but there was none.
Now the actual show was pretty entertaining. It started with some unknown talking to the crowd then Jeremy Borash came out. He got the crowd going by handing out some backstage passes and promising that more would be given out throughout the night. (They were but I didn’t get any.) Then the first match took place Sheik Abdul Bashir against Hernandez. It was a slow enough match they mainly just played the crowd but it was expected considering it was the first match. Then the night picked up with a triple threat between Awesome Kong, Velvet Sky and Taylor Wilde which Taylor won. An X division title match between Jay Lethal and Samoa Joe. Joe won. A tag team match between the British invasion and Beer money. This match got the best reaction with many, many rounds of “BEER” “MONEY”. Beer money won and a match between suicide and Rhino which suicide won.
The main event was a six-man tag, which was tweaked by special enforcer Mick Foley and was made a no DQ match. Team 3D and Abyss taking on Angle, Booker T and Steiner. The match was pretty good and ended when Foley interfered and Team 3D tried to put I think it was Steiner through a table but the table didn’t break. After the match all the baby faces came out to celebrate except abyss who ran away from Foley. They thanked the audience, declared Ireland had the strongest tables in the world and Foley made out with Taylor, well kind of. Then they drank a lot of beer and that was it. The end of my first wrestling show. Other than the loss of AJ who was the main reason I wanted to go it turned out to be a pretty good night.
Just a few odd things that happened throughout the show were when Bubba Ray left to get a table backstage it literally took him about ten minutes and Earl Hebner was there and when he finished refereeing his matches he got the mike said he was happy he screwed Bret Hart and left.

I was there as well and it was also my first time at a live Wrestling show. I have to say everyone should at lest go to see something like this live at lest once in there lives. It was a disappoint that AJ Styles wasn’t there but over all it was grate show. I would say it was probably one of the best nights out I’ve had in long time. Rumour has it that TNA might do a live pvp here or an impact fingers crossed anyway. And it seems tna has a big fan base here in Ireland I hope it gets bigger because of late the wwe has been crap. And if the wwe want to compete with tna I think they need to steep up there game.
