Thursday Ratings, Jesse Ventura Update, Sad News For Helms, Scott Steiner Gone, WWE Snubs Legend
- This week’s Thursday ratings are in, with TNA Impact on Spike TV drawing a 1.2 cable rating, and WWE Superstars on WGN America drawing a 1.0 cable rating.
TNA were hoping not to go below a 1.3 for the foreseeable future.
- Hot off the heels of his hit show Conspiracy Theory, wrestling legend turned Governor turned freedom fighter Jesse Ventura will be releasing a new book entitled “American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us”.
- From Gregory Helms’ Twitter:
“I was able to see my last remaining and closest grandparent yesterday before she passed this morning. She was very weak but she woke up, looked at me and rubbed my face. We got one final “I love you” in. I will never forget that moment… She was an amazing mother of ten and just a great person.”
- It appears that Scott Steiner is sitting out the rest of his contract. His profile has been removed from the TNA website and there has been no mention of him on TV recently.
- WWE somewhat snubbed wrestling legend and former AWA tag team champion Doug Somers by refusing him entry to the backstage area at the Royal Rumble PPV. No friends or family were allowed because they were trying to keep Edge’s return secret.
It appears to be an oversight in the chain of command, because it is highly unlikely that an old school star would break kayfabe, and it’s equally as unlikely that anyone in the know would deliberately block Somers from visiting the boys.

I watched the footy show at the end of last year, on which Hogan was promoting his own tour..Scott Steiner was mentioned to Hogan because he was on the show a few years earlier and the boys mentioned they liked him..When they asked hogan if he knew what Steiner was doing now he said he had no idea..Either there is bad blood there which is what it looks like, or Hogan had never seen an episode of Tna before taking the reigns…I know I would rather watch Scott over Kevin any day of the week..not only were his shoot interviews as funny as hell, in-ring he was still having great matches..unlike Kevin who looks like his legs are gunna give out at any moment
Great matches no, But a hell of a lot better than Hall,Pac, and the Nastys can deliver. I mean shouldn’t Big Pappa Pump be part of the band anyways?? Come on Hogan a complete oversight there!!!
