The Rock To Play Jonny Quest, Next HOF Inductees, Backstage TNA News

- Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who recently starred in “Witch Mountain” and whose Get Smart movie will be released on DVD on the 23rd, will play a role in the live-action version of popular cartoon “The Adventures Of Jonny Quest”. The former WWE champ will be playing the role of Race Bannon, a special agent who is hired by Jonny’s dad to be his son’s bodyguard. “I don’t know if you’ve read the latest [draft] but it’s awesome and it’s badass and I…hadn’t read an action script like that in a long time. And that action was unbelievable. That will happen,” said Johnson.

- Although we already know the dead certs, WWE have finally announced the next inductees in to the 2009 Hall of Fame Class. Terry and Dory Funk!

- Despite a lot of the TNA onscreen action feeling like the WCW days the PWTorch is reporting that the backstage area couldn’t be further from the political “clique” ridden WCW locker room. Although the veterans are generally friends, they are said to be just as supportive and friendly with other talent. That being said, those in charge still see the older guys as the “stars”.
