Stevie Richards Update, Eve Has Boob Job, More Jim Ross Thoughts

- Recently released ECW original Stevie Richards was mainly fired because WWE were simply cutting the roster although there is one reason why he was chosen over other people. Apparently he was becoming more aggressive in his creative ideas, regularly going to management and asking to do this or that, despite being constantly rejected. Again, although this isn’t really a fireable offense WWE were looking for the smallest reasons to cut people.

- Eve Torres, the winner of the 2007 WWE Diva Search and current backstage interviewer is believed to have recently had a boob job.

- Smackdown commentator Jim Ross is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog. Here are the highlights:

Batista and Bill Clinton:
“Interesting note that several WWE wrestlers are attending the upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions. It’s good that some wrestlers want to see the political process of selecting our Presidential candidates and not just do a drive by for a photo op even though there will be plenty of those. I’m not sure whos going where but I do know that Batista and President Bill Clinton would have a helluva time together considering they are both socially inclined.”

On the Legends Video Game:
“Yours truly worked several hours Friday night on the upcoming THQ produced video game featuring many of the greatest legends ever in the WWE. I presented the THQ rep a J.R.’s BBQ truckers cap, our $9.99 red neck special which is available here in our store, and he was most appreciative. Hey, some folks collect caps, what can I say? The creative on this game is being kept under wraps as it relates to all the amazing stars that will be featured. Nonetheless creative fans will be able to book some of the greatest, dream matches ever. We are slated to do two more days of voice overs next week. To tell you that I am simply having a blast doing audio bytes for these guys would be a major understatement. This is the game that will likely encourage me to get video game friendly.”

On Young Wrestlers:
“What if every wrestler in any training program or wrestling school were given DVD’s of a specific wrestler who the students resembled, wanted to emulate or performed like in the ring? The follow up would include written exams. Gasp… you mean a young wrestler would have to actually watch a DVD and study and retain the info that they were seeing? Yes, that’s the general idea. Good role models are needed in all walks of life not just ‘rasslin. I know many wrestlers that are big stars today are some of the biggest DVD watchers of any of the wrestlers. HHH, for example, is a student of classic, old school wrestling and probably has watched the great Harley Race in action hundreds of times.”

Keelan’s Call:
The latest statement by Jim Ross echoes Triple H’s comments a few days ago about young wrestlers being more interested in video games than hanging out with the legends and learning about the business. It annoys me when the veterans get on the younger guy’s back because it’s a totally different era. I’m sure if when the old timers were younger they had portable ipods and video games, they to would have used them instead of getting drunk at a bar listening to old wives tales and embellished road stories.

Last time when Triple H visited development he said nobody was good enough. Then why don’t you go down there and train them? Take WWE’s massive library and make them study old tapes. How is a wrestler supposed to stand out when all they learn is the “WWE” style? They don’t have the chance to travel from town to town in the fashion that a young Ric Flair did.
