Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 News, WWE Returning to Iraq, The Miz News
- If you pre-order the WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 video game from Wal-Mart.com you will get an exclusive code to unlock Layla, Boogeyman, Snitsky, Tazz and Vince McMahon. It was also recently announced that both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game allow downloadable wrestlers.
- Early next month several WWE superstars will be venturing out to Baghdad, Iraq to film the annual WWE Tribute to the Troops show, where an episode of WWE will take place in front of the soldiers. Vince McMahon commented “We go to all the FOBs [Forward Operating Bases] where nobody goes. It’s really cool to see the looks on the men’s and women’s faces when they see a touch of Americana. We actually get more out of it, I think, than the troops do.”
- The Miz, who was featured on Sci Fi’s live Ghosthunters this past week stayed in character throughout at the request of WWE and the Sci-Fi channel in order to cross promote ECW, which is also on the channel.

Grant totally burned him for doing what was requested of him too. Not to mention the fact that they stuck him with a team that wanted to talk more about him than to do any work; if anyone has a right to be irritated it’s Mike for wasting six hours of his life. That’s just my opinion on the matter.
I can’t wait for the Tribute to the Troops show. It’s always pretty interesting and the extra coverage they show of the wrestlers with the troops is usually pretty nice. My best friend’s brother was at the one last year and I can tell you his most prized possession is a picture of him and Jeff Hardy. He’s had it hanging on his wall since he got home from his tour of Iraq. I really think it’s great of them to be doing this for the soldiers over there.
