Smackdown Rating, PPV Buyrates, Raw’s Next Guest Hosts, Haku News
- Last week’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew a 1.7 broadcast rating on MyNetworkTV.
- WWE PPV buyrates continue to do worse than last year, with Backlash drawing 185,000 buys and Judgment Day pulling in 235,000 buys. However as previously reported, Wrestlemania got around 970,000 buys, which was higher than expected.
- Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of the band ZZ Top will be guest hosts on next week’s Raw. And this is a kid’s initiative? I had to Google them.
Jimmy “Boogie Woogie Man” Valiant has nothing on these guys!

- Former wrestling star Haku was visiting last night at Raw. He happens to live in the area.

man i’m in a shock backlash(the best ppv of the year) got less ppv buyrates
i don’t even get wrestling ppv’s anymore. they lack star power, but i do get the UFC PPV’s, what they lack in star power is made up for in action and great knockouts. wrestling is so predictable the indy promotions get my money at least those guys try to entertain us.
The problem with WWE PPV is that most of the matches they have on on there have already happen one too many times. When they are saying Randy Orton Vs. John Cena – OMG WoW!!! Fans are saying eh I’ll wait til Monday.
ZZ Top is awesome, i hope we are going to see awesome.
You can bet ZZ Top will play up the “She’s Got Legs” angle with the Divas. In the old days WWF had like 4 PPV a year and they had the time to really build up some “believable” rivalries and it was exciting. Now they have like 8 or 9 a year and ever other one is Cena vs HHH or Cena vs Orton or some variation of that. It just isn’t as entertaining a product as it used to be.
I really like ZZ Top. I’ve seen them in concert a couple of times. Them hosting should make for a pretty good watch. I’m excited!
If they Continue with the trend of celebrity Raw Hosts the should bring in Rob Schneider or Macauly Culkin!
The PPV Buyrates may be low due to some places (Like Mine) Getting PPV’s for free this year unlike last year where we had to buy them.
wtf does zz top have to do with wrestling??
