Smackdown Rating, Million Dollar Giveaway, Hacksaw Duggan Rap Song?

- The overnight WWE Smackdown rating on the CW Network drew a 2.3 rating, according to Nielsen Media’s fast national data. As always the final number will be out next week.

- For those wondering what WWE get in return for giving away one million dollars there are a number of business logics to take. WWE’s web traffic has reached a record level, which means simple online advertising methods will also be bringing in record revenue. Like a lot of businesses WWE will probably keep the user’s data that they registered with, in order to sell it on to other companies for a hefty fee. They may also use this data for in house marketing purposes, which in turn may lead to increased spending on Shopzone for example – depending on what they choose to plug. WWE’s main focus is on increased viewers for Raw, which obviously has its own benefits. It’s not as simple as just giving away $1Million for the fans, as Vince would have you believe.

- It’s amazing what you can find browsing youtube, like “The Hacksaw Jim Duggan” rap song. It’s not even funny, it’s just a good rap song. Lil Wayne rapping about Macho Man, Sonjay Dutt and Kurt Angle featured on top Myspace releases, Hip-Hop websites calling Ric Flair a true gangsta and Michael Hayes saying Nigga. What the hell is going on, shouldn’t this be John Cena’s game? Anyway here’s the link, Hiooooooo:
