Slammy Awards Return, Update On Jericho Controversy, Hogan/TNA News
- Comedian Dennis Miller will be hosting a 3-hour WWE Raw special on December 14th where the Slammy Awards will make a return.
- It appears Chris Jericho was being a complete “asshole” at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival and the host he targeted homosexual and racial slurs at, was not in on it.
Mr. Lobo — the guy who hosted the film festival — says despite Jericho’s claim that “everyone on stage was having a blast,” he was deeply offended by the insensitive remarks and calls Jericho’s statement a “complete fabrication.”
Lobo claims Jericho never apologized to him and added, “I don’t think [Chris] has the capacity to give an honest apology. I don’t think it’s in his character.”
Although this has nothing to do with the web, it is exactly the sort of reason why Vince wants to reduce wrestlers use of social networking sites. It’s called putting ones foot in ones mouth.
- TNA have been negotiating with Hogan for over 5 months, with only Dixie, Hogan, Bischoff and Bob Carter in the loop. It’s also assumed Spike TV played a role.
I’m guessing Hogan came out of the deal very well in terms of money.

Is the Jericho incident a big deal to anyone in the WWE? Probably not would be my guess, Vince has used racial stereotypes and homosexual type characters for years in the WWE to get ratings. This is what wrestling does is makes people uncomfortable and that is why we watch it and cheer or boo our faces and heels. This is a none story.
