Sheik Abdul Bashir’s Contract, Jericho News, Piper Back To WWE?
- According to PWInsider.com WWE has interest in re-signing Sheik Abdul Bashir, who’s contract with TNA expires in August. Bashir wrestled as Daivari in WWE, but lost steam when Mohamed Hassan was released.
- Chris Jericho will be appearing on DisneyXD series Aaron Stone this Monday, as Billy Cobb, an MMA fighter. I guess wrestling just isn’t hip anymore.

“Roddy Piper was just on the radio here in Boston on the Toucher & Rich morning program. Something interesting he said was that this might one of his last independent appearances because as he put it “WWE Called again”. Great! Another star to get Americans to hate the middle East. The Sheik Abdul Bashire bit was disgraceful to say the least. Perhaps WWE will go a different route. I hope they do. They made Khali a face. I just don’t understand why everyone thinks wrestling fans are rednecks? With such great minorioty stars like the Iron Sheik, Bad News Brown, Cryme Tyme and Santino Marella. I can understand making Regal a heel because those Brits are all fried fish eating dickheads (just kidding Keeland).
seriously though, if the WWE/TNA wants to break from the redneck image, they need to lose the stereotypes. What’s next, the Jewish lawyer?
I’m a huge Piper fan, but his time has come to an end. Today he looks like all the years of drug use and wrestling matches really caught up to him. He always looks upset, in a shitload of pain, and even has the shakes. I like him, but he looks shot, sorry.
also forgot he had to deal with cancer. feel sorry 4 the guy, but he needs to stay retired. wwe needs NEW talent. time to pass all the torches.
One more thing, I love heels. However when your heel status is based on raceism, it makes it uncomfortable. I live in west Detroit just outside Dearborn. It’s around 50% Arabic here. Deeper in the city, it’s all black. I can’t really tell anyone I watch wrestling. It’s REALLY discracefull the way they portray anyone who isn’t “Larry, the cable guy”
Also, Piper is a homophobic doushbag. We all know he wanted to do Adrien Adonis and Goldust. Why would them putting makeup on make him so mad?
