Shane Sewell Released, TNA Offering Discounts To WWE Ticket Holders
- Jeremy Borash revealed on his official Twitter account that TNA have released referee turned wrestler Shane Sewell, who is best known for feuding with Sheik Bashir and Booker T.
- In other TNA news, the following press release speaks for itself:
Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling Heads to Colorado, for Sure!
DEJECTED WWE FANS CAUGHT IN THE “DENVER DEBACLE” GET A $10 DISCOUNT FOR TNA TICKETS WITH THEIR UNUSED WWE TICKETS FROM COLORADO SHOWS.
DENVER, May 22 /PRNewswire/ — Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling is bringing a slam-dunk show to Colorado – and unlike its competition, the superstars of TNA will not skip town.
The TNA Live! Tour invades the Pueblo (Colo.) Convention Center on Friday night, May 29, and then moves to Cheyenne, Wyo., on Saturday night, May 30 at the Taco Johns Event Center. Both shows start at 7:30 p.m., and anyone bringing an unused WWE ticket from its recently-cancelled Colorado shows to the box office in Pueblo or Cheyenne will receive a $10 discount for tickets for either TNA show.
“Some of the biggest pro wrestling fans in the nation are in Colorado,” said TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter. “It was sad to see the WWE pull out of all their scheduled shows in Colorado recently because of the scheduling conflict with the NBA playoffs. I want everyone in Colorado to know that TNA Wrestling is coming and we hope to see you at our first shows ever in your state. For WWE fans that paid for any of these cancelled events, we are offering you $10 off the purchase of tickets to come see us and enjoy the best fan experience in pro wrestling.”
Carter also confirmed that TNA is “formally inviting” all Nugget players, coaches, broadcasters and front-office staff to the Pueblo show.

Dixie is such a bitch, I mean seriously, what would you have done so much better and differently that wwe couldn’t do. You don’t even have the balls to have a entire show without giving away free tickets, not to mention you could never sell out the arenas wwe does, so what makes you think you would have done so much better being in the same scenario? This is why tna is so pathetic, maybe if they spent as much time improving their own show as they do following everyone of wwe’s decisions, they could get past 1.2 ratings weekly.
The WWE didn’t have to leave the state to do Raw. But they chose to do so, and like any other business person Dixie is going after her competition no matter how silly it may seem. The NBA, NFL or MLB will always get the nod over WWE or TNA so it was a poor choice to set a date in Denver with the Nuggets being in the playoff picture all year and were a top team all season long. Vince needs to pull his head out of his ass just like the Nuggets owner and just rescheduled to a earlier day or on the tuesday. But Vince’s ego can’t let him do that and the NBA flexed it’s muscles and bitch slapped him. Dixie is doing a PR move and it may pay off. I have been to a TNA PPV and house show and they are not that all bad. Raw is getting lame, ECW is the pits and Smackdown should be the flagship show.
dixie carter is hot
yeah dixi is such a bitch she should not give these types of comments because her fucked up company(tna) could not ever think of having a sold out arena that wwe does always
Come on TNA, Pueblo, CO?!? Are you serious? Colorado Springs or Denver is more like it. 10 dollars off is a joke too. After gas and parking we’d still be out some additional money. I got my money back from the box office and now I’m going to see the Asylum Championship Wrestling matches tonight…in Colorado Springs.
I think Vince just wanted to go to LA. It was a dicky move. People were planning on that event and I’m sure there is another venue they could’ve used.
I also think Dixie Carter is making a mistake going after WWE. It seems he could shut them down at will, or at least raid their roster.
and btw, wwe fan… YOUR A TOOL!
The wwe could have had access to several other venues in Denver. They could have even done both events in Colorado Springs. Vince is just being a jackass about it.
Kudos for TNA coming to Pueblo, Colorado. In my eyes WWE lost ut! Sure the feud was with Pepsi center/Nuggets and WWE, but what did was take it out on the rest of the colorado fans. Smackdown didn’t have to be cancelled, there was no conflict with World Arena and they use a different crew to setup up the ring and have their own set of wrestlers for smackdown.
WWE probably thought they would make a lot more more getting the Staple Center for two nights in a row as it holds more fans but from what I read and heard, they had to GIVE tickets away to fill seats and attendance was around 8,000 for Raw. So don’t go knocking TNA for coming to colorado, maybe soon they will come do a PPV in Colorado and they treated fans better than WWE. WWE said oh for the inconvience we are offering colorado fans House Shows in August…Come on what a slap in the face!
I would like to know how many Colorado fans have now stopped watching and supporting WWE, I for one being a longtime fan no longer will watch or go to live events or even buy anything WWE anymore.
