Ric Flair Trading Card, Linda McMahon Update, What’s Next For Manu?

- Ric Flair has independently negotiated terms for an Autographed Ric Flair Trading Card, with Baseball card company Donruss. “We are extremely excited to be bringing the hobby the first certified autograph cards from one of the most famous professional wrestlers of all time,” said Donruss spokesman Scott Prusha. “Given the fact that he’s never had a certified autograph card, we knew he was a great fit for Donruss.”

- The Associated Press has posted another article in relation to Linda McMahon’s strange nomination to be on the Stamford State Board of Education:

“Linda McMahon, chief executive of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., has survived round one in her nomination to Connecticut’s State Board of Education despite some tough questions by critics. A legislative committee has approved her appointment, 11-2. Her nomination now moves to the Senate. Some state lawmakers say her appointment sends the wrong message to impressionable students. Rep. Shawn Johnston, a Democrat from Thompson, says he brought his sons to a WWE event and was surprised by what he called an “incredible sexual overtone” at the performance. McMahon, who was appointed by Gov. M. Jodi Rell, says she doesn’t believe the WWE product reflects on her ability to serve on the board.”

[I guess now that WWE are all kid friendly, she can sugar coat it a little. Still, I would not want a McMahon overseeing my education!]

- According to the Wresting Observer, Randy Orton himself was the one that pushed for Manu to be removed from the Legacy stable, citing that he didn’t have the right look. Sim Snuka on the other hand was never considered a main member.

As I reported previously, DH Smith actually pitched an idea to management about joining the group, but that is currently on hold.

At this point there aren’t any solid plans for Manu, which I hope doesn’t mean he gets released because “creative had nothing for him”. Which basically means creative aren’t very creative! It’s fair to say Manu doesn’t fit in with Legacy, but he is extremely solid in the ring and can do wonders at putting other guys over.

  1. I’ve been a loyal heel for 25 years. Orton is not a true heel. Just because you kick Vince in the head didn’t make you a bad guy (ie Steve austin). Legacy is a stupid concept and needs to end. Manu is great without this weak legacy! Orton needs to put on his babyface (just watch… he will) and leave heel work to people who can do it right. Legend killer started good but he dropped the ball by not giving the RKO to his dear old,
Fat and ugly dad (who btw was nothing more than Roddy Pipers lap dog). A year from now, pisant Cena fans will be screaming “Randy I love you”. Marks need to wake up and realize that the “Age of Orton” is spoonfed HORSES**t!

  2. If you’d have told me this a few weeks back I’d agree, but I think you’re wrong. He’s developed in to a good heel. Everything accept the Shane McMahon thing has been great.

You’re right, I think he’ll eventually go face, but in the same vein as Austin, in that he’ll still have heel tendencies.

  3. i tell ya what the new ric flair card is awsome. i was a lucky winner on beckett.com to receive one of 15 cards
