Rey Mysterio Still Injured, JR Is Back, Austin Taker & Goldberg News
- According to the Wrestling Observer Rey Mysterio is still not fully healed from his bicep injury and that’s why he wasn’t on Raw Monday. WWE management didn’t want to hold back on his momentum from the draft and gave him the quick feud with Santino, although he won’t be back full time until August.
- Good old JR is back with another blog entry on JRSBARBQ.com:
He confirmed what we reported earlier about the return of Saturday night’s Main Event, stating “I hear another SNME is just around the corner on NBC unless my “source” is zooming me.”
On UFC fighter “Rampage” Jackson’s recent controversy:
“Sounds like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, who has had two brushes with the police this past week may be clinically depressed based on what I have read and what those close to the matter have told me. I am not a clinical psychologist…feel free to drop in a Dr. Phil reference if you choose…but Jackson getting healthy is of the utmost importance and not when he will fight again.”
On The Bash Main Event:
“Look for Edge’s challenge to HHH for the WWE Title to close the show at the Bash from what I understand. Things could change between the time I write this and Sunday night on PPV but that’s close to a lock.”
On Torrie Wilson:
“The beautiful Torrie Wilson, now in the clothing business in Houston, sent the Mrs. and me a hot, pink bikini that she wore on TV and autographed that we will frame and display in our Norman or Moore restaurant. This one will have to have bullet proof glass and be anchored to the wall or one of our male employees might want a one of a kind souvenir.”
- Three wrestling mega stars of the modern era, Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Goldberg all had a night out together watching the Affliction MMA PPV live in the crowd the other night and were shown on camera multiple times. They just so happened to be seated behind Donald Trump in the second row.
