Rey Mysterio Signs New Three Year Deal

It is believed that Rey Mysterio has signed the 3 year contract extension that has been on the table for a while now. It seems any problems between WWE and Mysterio are now ironed out and it’s fair to say that this will be his last run before his knees well and truly give out.

Problems initially came about when WWE brought Mysterio back after his last injury. The feeling was that he should have taken a pay cut because he was now prone to future injuries and his career would likely end within a few years; so investing a lot of money in him could be risky.

WWE’s whole perspective then flipped and they were happy to meet all of Mysterio’s needs after seeing him perform upon his return to Raw. However Mysterio was unsure on his future and dragged the situation out longer, even citing that he could go back to Mexico.

There has been some storyline ideas for Low Ki to come in as an evil Rey Mysterio or something similar where Mysterio would pass the torch.
