Raw Dark Match Results

Before last night’s WWE Raw from the Toyata Center in Houston, Texas, Evan Bourne defeated Dolph Ziggler, and Kofi Kingston defeated Shelton Benjamin.

There were notable boos of John Cena and CM Punk on a video package before the cameras began rolling. It seems fans may be turning on Punk because WWE never used him correctly last time, so they see his briefcase win as a waste.

  1. That “they wasted MITB on Punk this year” thing is exactly what I have been saying ever since I watched it happen right before my eyes. I was IMing a friend during the show and the very first words I typed were “Well that sucked”.

The MITB is (at least in my eyes) a match that elevates new challengers. Punk had it last year and they fucked up his title run by taking it off him without him losing it. If they wanted to make him main event, why the hell didn’t they just do it? He’s been there already, he didn’t need this too. This is the thing MVP should have won, not some toolbag who did it last year.

And then the best part of that is the story some days ago that said WWE is worried about the future. Evidently they’re still not too concerned with building new stars or they’d have done it!

  2. I it was ok when he won it the first time. but twice in a row. i much rather christian got it if not shelton and or even mvp. hopefully they do like they did with Mr Kennedy and have a match where he puts it on the line and loses it. I was mad when they did that but i would be glad if they did it to punk. Now mind you i am not saying i am not a fan of his. i’m just saying he did not need to win it twice. i would not mind him as champ again but wow.

  3. It’s my belief that they’ve handed it to CM Punk to make have him cash it in but fail to win the belt. That way it won’t be looked upon as an obvious future champ… but time will tell.
