Ratings, JR Re-Signs With WWE, Cody Deaner Leaving, Edge Interview, WWE’s Alcohol Policy
- This past Thursday’s TNA Impact on Spike TV drew a 1.0 cable rating. Thursday’s WWE Superstars lost out this week with a 0.9 cable rating.
- Jim Ross and WWE have finally come to terms on a contact renewal. It is unsure how long the extension was for, but they are usually for 2 years.
TNA had wanted Ross to jump ship.
- The feeling is that Cody Deaner will be the one to grab the “Fired” briefcase at Sunday’s Final Resolution pay-per-view in the Feast or Fired match.

* He mentioned he was in the North Carolina mountains in new property he has there. He said he didn’t mind sitting out and getting paid.
* His WWE deal ended in October but they added on injury time and said however long it takes to recover, that much time will be added to his deal.
* He said he’s went to Dr. James Andrews for follow-ups to the injury and is doing some major therapy in North Carolina with other therapy sessions in Florida.
* Edge said Christian and Shelton Benjamin had the best match at WWE’s TLC but he also enjoyed the main event.
* He put over Sheamus. He also put over FCW and talked about Ted DiBiase and Drew McIntyre coming out of FCW.
* Edge said Umaga’s death hit him hard as they were close. Umaga called Edge the night before he died but he said he didn’t even think to keep the message.
* Edge put over The Undertaker and said he has no idea how he performs so well. Edge said they have always been on good terms.
* He has no idea when he will return. He was originally told six months to a year. He has to see Andrews and then get in a wrestling ring to see how everything holds up. He said he’s hoping for the first quarter of 2010.
- In an update to the WWE Wellness Policy WWE talents are prohibited from “using or consuming alcohol at any time within a twelve hour period prior to any WWE event or WWE scheduled performance.” Whether this is enforced is unknown.

I think cody deaner is a worthless wrestler his ability and gimmick are beyond pathetic! Seriously makes me question natural selection! Can’t wait to see edge back in action he always gives 100% face or heel! I would love to see him feud as a face with sheamus! Anyone who puts sheamus down because he has got a hand up the ladder from HHH needs to sort it out! Do u know anyone who would take the handup? Sheamus paid his dues on the Independent scene in england and ireland now its time for his pail white complexion to shine!
I doubt the general fuss over Sheamus’ push is to do with his wrestling ability or dues he may have paid on the Indy scene, but that he moved up in the pecking order over guys like Kofi, Dolph, Morrison, Shelton, Christian, MVP and so on, out of nowhere, but coincidentally happens to be Triple H’s favorite young guy right now.
I dont think many people are putting him for doing his job and taking an opportunity – anybody would in his position, just that its blatant favoritism by the future ‘King’ and unfair when youve got half the roster who gain more interest or heat and draw more than Sheamus ever has, but they dont get such an opportunity just yet. This is one of those things that you can just bet Triple Douche was pushing for hard in creative meetings and convincing Vince that this guy has ‘it’. Well I watched the guy week after week come out and squash people, and then throw a couple guys through a table and win the belt by one of the most pathetic and unconvincing finishes in a Tables match ever, and not once did the crowd ever seem to care. McIntyre has way more charisma than this guy, and is similar enough in looks and ring style that, for me, make Sheamus utterly redundant in the WWE.
NO superstars won coz they got a 0.2 reply rating so it means more people watched superstar than TNA ,
TNA SUCKS , they can’t even beat Superstars with that much hype . i hope they atleast get 0.1 on jan 4 .

Power for once I agree with you. He (Shamus) just skipped over everyone and you KNOW it’s only because he’s HHHs butt buddy. I’m not saying he didn’t deserve a push. He has that freaky looking skin and everything but, right to the top? I just think it seems like he he caught HHH with another women and is getting “the big push” to keep quiet.
