Poll Results: Would You Like To See Mick Foley Jump To TNA?

Well it’s now official, Mick Foley is a member of the TNA locker room; at least for the short term, and he made his live to tape debut last night at the Impact taping, seemingly challenging Kurt Angle to a match. The latest poll asked “Would You Like To See Mick Foley Jump To TNA?” Well he did, but lets see what you readers wanted:

Coming in at the top with 41% of the votes was “No, Mick Foley will always be a WWE guy to me,” and even for me I think it’ll be strange to see Foley in a none WWE ring. I mean Foley has developed his characters on WWE programming for over a decade, right through the boom period in wrestling. Yes he was in WCW and ECW, but a lot of today’s fans weren’t even around then. It’ll be interesting to see if Foley takes on a certain persona in TNA, or will just be Foley.

In second with 28% of the votes was “Yes I’d be very excited if that happened,” and I admit I’m equally as excited as many of you. That being said I fear TNA will find a way to make it seem less exciting when it airs on TV. Not one star has had any “impact” on the ratings so what makes us think Foley will be any different?

18% of you think “He’s past it, I don’t care.” And that’s a fair argument. He obviously can’t take the bumps he once could and WWE have done a good job of turning him in to a low rent attraction over the years as opposed to a star. It seems many people just don’t care about him anymore.

Interestingly 8% of you said you’d want him in TNA only “if they do have him wrestle.” As good as Foley is on the mic, we all want a glimmer of his former death defying style. Abyss springs to mind.

Only 6% of you are caring and only want him in TNA “if they don’t have him wrestle.” I certainly don’t want him to take a bump off the Ultimate X or anything.

That wraps it up and thanks for the 891 votes!

The next poll is up, along with a new fun fact, further down the page. (I should update them more often).

  1. TNA is a joke it’s full of WWE jobbers. Everytime time u wanna take somebody who got fired or quite and add them to ur roster

like Sting,Kevin Nash and Now Foley lol TNA a joke

  2. Um TNA just being a wrestling show full of jobbers is a joke. TNA is a great wrestling show.

  3. TNA is absolute garbage! Mick doesn’t belong there. He’s the big fish in a small pond. He is such a huge icon in the world of pro wrestling who is loved by millions and millions (haha sorry…I just ripped off of the rock’s catchphrase:p) of people all over the world. He acheieved that legendary status in ECW and WWE. Being in TNA is getting him nowhere and he is wasting away over there. Mick needs to come back home to the WWE where he belongs!!!

  4. I have only watched TNA a couple of times, and do they not already have some cheap rip off of mankind on their roster?

Mick Foley is a legend, and from my point of view a WWE Legend. He deserved some say-so in his job description and one argument could be that Vince should have given it to him and allowed him to run with whatever he wanted to comment on, rather than use him as a puppet like JR and King have become. Everyone would no doubt love to see him wreslt again, but I am not one of them. I would much rather put on a dvd and watch the infamous hell in a cell with the undertaker and others of when mick was at his fittest and in his peak. I’m worried that this will become similar to the likes of hogan coming back before the blow up he had with the WWE to keep food on the table for his family rather than stick with what he is good at now, both writing and commentating.

  5. naa mick foley his batter on wwe
