Poll Results: Will Shawn Michaels End Undertaker’s Streak At Mania?
Well Wrestlemania has been and gone. Whether you thought the show as a whole was good or not, what most fans seem to agree on is that Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels stole the show and gave us one of those true Wrestlemania moments.
Our recent poll asked “Will Shawn Michaels End Undertaker’s Streak At Mania?”
Could Mr. Wrestlemania end the Undertaker’s streak? Or would the Deadman get a victory over HBK, a man he’s never defeated?
The build, although classic, was rather one sided towards Shawn Michaels leading most to believe the Undertaker simply had to win, and win he did. But both men came out of that contest better than they went in, and that’s what wrestling should do!
This is how voting went:
67% thought “the Deadman will lay HBK to rest.”
21% voted for the possible swerve of HBK picking up the victory.
and 12% couldn’t accept either man winning and voted for a no contest.
In my humble opinion the Undertaker’s streak should not end during active competition. It gives WWE an automatic storyline each year that can sell on the match itself. And after the 5 star bout we saw On Sunday, I couldn’t care if Taker never loses again, I’m buying purely for the in-ring work.

Even with the great disappointment that was the women’s match, and with the tag match being cut, this match made the entire pay-per-view worth ordering.
I expected it to be great because of their performances at the last two mania’s and all of Shawn’s work with Cena over the past few years…but it shattered my expectations.
And, I think ‘Taker getting the win was the best idea too, but for a different reason. This was one of the single greatest wrestlemania matches ever (as far as I’m concerned), and I think if they made Shawn win, the story would have been too much about the streak ending, and not as much about the match itself.

I thought the taker/micheals match was well worth the money I paid for the ppv and why does a slime like orton need 2 guys to back him up…what a wimp
