Poll Results: Will CM Punk’s Second Title Reign Be Long Term?
I’m a little late compiling the results to this poll, but the fact that it slipped by so quickly almost proves that Punk is still not quite a serious contender for the belt. Then again, in today’s wrestling world losing the belt after nearly 2 months is increasingly becoming the norm.
Whether Punk will ever be a serious title holder, I do not know, but this second run has definitely propelled him in to a top heel position.
This is how it went down:
He never should have got the belt – 39%
He’ll remain strong and get a solid push this time – 24%
He’ll just be a transitional champion – 19%
It might be long but he’ll probably be jobbed out anyway – 18%
It seems the majority of readers were souring on Punk during this second reign, voting that he should have never won the title to begin with. But then what can you expect when WWE buried him the first time round?
