Poll Results: Will Christian Cage Be Treated As A Top Star In WWE?
After his relatively short run on top in TNA, tag team legend Christian returned to WWE where the money and fame comes in greater abundance. Originally we all assumed he’d be part of the Jeff Hardy/Edge storyline, but due to the huge amount of internet play he appeared to be relegated to ECW under rumors that Vince wasn’t too fond of the performer in the first place. Our recent poll asked “Will Christian Cage Be Treated As A Top Star In WWE?”
The straight answer is no, he hasn’t been, but his matches on ECW with Jack Swagger and his subsequent qualification in the Money in the Bank match suggest he isn’t being lost in the shuffle either. Here’s how you all voted:
- 37% voted “Yes, he made it big in TNA and will be a main eventer upon his return to WWE.”
- 29% voted “Yes, but only in a feud with Jeff hardy before going back to the midcard.”
- 18% voted “No, he’ll come in at a midcard level.”
- 16% voted “WWE will bury him MVP style.”
Whether it was wishful thinking, or a genuine belief, the majority of you saw Christian as a main event player, at least for a little while. I guess it all depends on how you classify the ECW title against the other world titles, and what happens after Wrestlemania. Either way Christian has been nothing but entertaining since his return and has definitely elevated Swagger to his level.
