@ratdog I somewhat agree, I miss the fun that the late 80s brought to wrestling. Even in the 80s we saw blood, but I guess that was before TV ratings. The new wrestlers are too fake to me, when they jump to go through the ropes you can just tell. Watching HBK go flying over the corner, you can see as he jumps and flips his body.
I dunno, I miss the sleeper holds and just the pure wrestling moves of the past. Maybe it’s just time for me to give up on watching..

here a big plot hole for u teddy long hes a massive black hole he had a heart attack on smackdown i think last year had to have a assistant which gave us vickie gurrero (excuse me) and when returned to wwe was given an assitant tiffany but now is running smackdown again but no assistant how can a man thats had a heart attack sustain a job where its all about pressure with a dodgy ticker and no assistant

You wanna know what also pisses me off the most, for the sheer fact that it just does not make sense in the WWE. What used to make a wrestler bleed, now does not. Blood is good if only in selling shots and bumps, but now they expect you to beleive that they dont ever bleed anymore. Shawn Michaels, HHH etc used to bleed at the drop of a hat, there were even times where punches would open them up. But now, Crappy Orton can slam HHH’s head against a metal railing and nothing. I know its cause of the PG shit, but it just DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE.

WWE just pisses me off now days.

How about the Beautiful People segment with the whole Tara-Tarantula thing? What was that all about? Why would a tarantula magically appear on Madison Rayne’s shoulder?

I like TNA but sometimes they do stuff that is just pointless and stupid.

Not a bad column Keelan… Can I ask you a question though? “Why the Hell do we still watch wrestling if all this stuff bothers us so much?”

All the plot holes give me the shits, but I still continue to watch, well All of TNA shows and WWE PPV’s only.

Wrestlers are not Jack Bauer and can not get out of unbelievable situations every single day, keep it simple with more wrestling, simple swerves (not every 2 seconds) and beleivable rivalries.

How believable is HHH’s drop from between knees facedown. He lets go 18 inches before they land. Fists and elbows from a distance with the cameras went out with make believe Hogan. Have you ever went to a live match with Bruiser Brody and Chief Wahoo McDaniels? With anyone that Brody wrestled or fought? What a rush. OLD school is where it is at. If it was something I thought was too violent for certain ages for my sons, I explained things weren’t “always” what it seemed to be. How can you say a crossed dressed wrestler is kid friendly or incest is cool? WWE you have made your bed – lay in it. Mixed wrestling match with you/Santina vs GOD/JESUS would be a big main event. Don’t get any ideas from that Vince. Well you did something similiar with HBK…..now we are supposed to believe kid friendly. OLD SCHOOL not SICKO perversion. TNA – Joe put down the knife in and out of the ring. Just one persons opinion.

Great blog. I completely agree with almost everything here except one thing: I think i liked Mysterio’s attack on Jericho. While i do agree that crossing the rail was not smart on WWE’s part, we should remember that cheap shots annd sneakiness have always been a big part of this business, infact very heavily used during the awesome “Attittude Era”. Remember The Rock? Austin? Triple H? Even Jericho then..They all used cheap attacks for promos and interfered constantly in each other’s matches.
And i definately hate the “all seeing camera” lol. Remember, back in the day when Dean Malenko was in the WWF. And the infamous scene of him sneaking upon Lita in the shower? At time I remember thinking “This is the legal definition of stalking. Why isn’t the camera man reporting this to the Hardy’s? Or even to the police?”
