Orton Really Busted Open, Smackdown’s Future, Wrestlemania Plans
- Randy Orton was legitimately busted open at the No Way Out PPV, when Shane McMahon hit him with the monitor. WWE is currently back using a no blood policy because of the kid’s initiative.
- WWE currently has a backup plan if MyNetworkTV doesn’t last as a re-run network.
As previously reported the network has suspended all original programming accept Smackdown, which in the long run may hurt crossover numbers and ultimately cause the channel to go under.
If that happens WWE were simply replace their new Superstars show on WGN with Smackdown. The only reason why Smackdown isn’t already on WGN is because it has less penetration than MyNetworkTV.
- One of the discussed ideas for the current title picture is to have Edge stay on Smackdown with Vickie Guerrero and have Triple H move to Raw, re-acknowledging his marriage to Stephanie and fighting Randy Orton at Wrestlemania. (note, just watched Raw, this is obviously the case).
Other matches are (at least for now) penciled in as:
Edge vs Big Show
HBK vs Undertaker
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy
Chris Jericho (match relating to Mickey Rourke)
Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair appearances.
However Smackdown is taping tonight and Cena will be on the show, so it might end up as Edge vs Cena.

100% Edge vs. John Cena which I think will impact the future draft after Mania. HBK VS UNDERTAKER, that in my opinion will steal the show. The Hardy fight should be high flying and intresting. And I personally think that they should also include Austin at Mania.
I don’t like like blood in wrestling! Only because it’s stupid, self inflicted, nicks to the head. The kids initiative
However is INSULTING! I’ve been watching this for years! Now they’re making the show for KIDS? If it’s to raunchy, then maybe their parents should get involved in what’s going on in their lives. It’s violence! How much can you clean it up? It just makes it less entertaining for me and that’s BS!
I agree that WWE is going towards kids is BS. I grew up watching wrestling in the 90’s during the Attitude era and that is what I have come to love about Wrestling. Are kids really awake as late as Raw is on anyway? I think it sucks I want my hardcore in your face wrestling back
the 90s “attitude” era was some wonderful stuff. When undertaker hung Austin on a cross, Golddust kicking guys in the nuts, Bret Hart calling Shawn Michaels a homo… It was what we liked, it hooked us. I watched 80s wrestling, but I grew up. If they want kids to watch, then make a show for THEM! What the he’ll is your kid doing watching tv at 10:30 on a school night anyway! I have a kid, and she’s asleep Monday night at nine.
