Jeff won the title because he deserved it. That has been his dream to capture the big championship. I am proud of him and besides he has one of the biggest fan bases out of all the other wrestlers.

I agree with Keelan — titles aren’t solely about being 6′6″ and ripped, and I think today that persona/personality probably plays a more important role with a more diverse audience. Jeff Hardy may be more gymnast than traditional wrestler, but remember that the emphasis IS on the E of WWE in the business. There’s plenty of room and time for all kinds to get titles, and I figure any athlete/superstar whose talent is “insulted” will leave pretty fast (but you don’t see that happen much, hmmm). Matt’s always been a pretty consistent backbone for WWE, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon — too much audience hook-in with him, too. As for TNA, I don’t know — every time I tune in, they’re doing nothing but yelling and arguing with each other, and I’ve yet to see a match actually going on. IS there any action on that show?

Jeff is by no means perfect but the story they’ve told makes sense to me. Plus there is nothing wrong with having a contrasting style. Somebody could equally make the argument that headlocks and writs holds, or brawler wrestlers shouldn’t get the belt. Jake and Piper had great psychology, but psychology is about getting a reaction and you can’t deny that Jeff gets a reaction.

What a sad state of affairs wrestling must be in. We have 2 scrawny piece of crap Hardy boyz wearing prestigious World titles. Why not just call back Barry Horowitz to give him his run with a title, he was with the company forever so why not? I mean this has to be the only reason these two jokes are wearing the gold. Just b/c they can jump they get a title? PLEASE! Remember Jake the Snake Roberts? More talent in one finger than these jokers have in their entire repetoire! Rowdy Roddy Piper? Another great whoms forgotten more about wrestling than these punks will ever know! These 2 were legit wrestlers, yet they never got a run with the world title! Why? B/c back then the belts meant something and you had to be more than a glorified piece of crap to wear it. But that has changed now, now you just wrestle for WWE for about 10 years and apparently Vince will decide you deserve a title. I would rather have the Great Khali wearing the title at least he has the size to make him legit. PLEASE PLEASE WWE get the belt off of these two jokers and get them back to being Enhancement Talents, back where they belong. I can deal with Matt being world champ, he is somewhat talented, but the longer you have Jeff as champ, the faster you are going to kill my love of a sport I have followed for 23 years. This is worst than when David Arquette won the title. Just bc the guy can come out in pink hair and wear glow in the dark paint I mean why not give him a title. I guess wrestling is really in a downward spiral and honestly if they’re going to let a piece of crap like this wear the title I pray that it crashes and goes under, I’ll switch to TNA where you actually have to have talent to wear their World title. Get the belt off of JEFF FAST!!!!!
