Off Air News and Fallout From Summerslam

- The Staples Center arena was a near enough sellout.

- Former WWE stars RVD, Lita and Shannon Moore were backstage visiting, as was 90210 star Luke Perry. Nancy O’Dell, who made a cameo is from Access Hollywood.

- Slash of Guns N’ Roses fame was seen in the crowd. As was reality star Holly Montag, Lemmy of Motorhead, MMA’s Tito Ortiz with porn star Jenna Jameson, UK newspaper honcho Piers Morgan, Arsenio Hall, and record producer Rick Rubin. Well it was in LA!

- Prior to the event airing Beth Phoenix won a 15 Diva Battle Royal. This will be a bonus on the DVD release. She was helped by special ref Chavo.

- There were lots of PPV feed issues once the show started, including DirecTV and Comcast HD in certain areas, plus Sky in the UK missed the first 15 minutes.

- The ECW title match was so fast they didn’t even list it in the live event program sold to the audience.

- The so called “fan” that jumped the rail during the Randy Orton and John Cena match was Brett DiBiase, real life brother of Ted.

- There were no serious injuries on the show, despite the insane TLC match.

  1. They made it slightly too obvious by how the match played out for anyone to believe a normal fan intervened.

  2. Oh…Brett DiBiase!!! Brett Dibiase and Ted should tag together, and Cody Rhodes can tag with his brother Dustin Runnels(Goldust).

  3. It will be strange if Brett joins with Legacy since they are all about the same height and build. Most stables are built out of differences but Legacy all seems to be a kind of a faceless unit besides Orton. I don’t know if that’s an interesting and original idea or a stupid and pointless one. I suppose we’ll just have to see how it plays out.

Oh and if Goldust goes anywhere near Legacy I will shoot myself:)
