October 7, 2008, WWE Smackdown Results
Here is a quick results report from last nights October 7, 2008, WWE Smackdown from Orlando Florida:
- In dark matches prior to last night’s tapings, Kizarny beat Ryan Braddock and Primo Colon beat Low Ki, who was getting a tryout. Ki looked ok in the ring.
- Smackdown opened with MVP in the VIP Lounge. He said his recent losing streak has come about because he hasn’t been focused. The Great Khali interrupted and forced MVP out of the ring. They did the Kiss Cam thing, which MVP tried to stop by attacking Khali. Instead, MVP bailed out.
- Backstage, Vickie Guerrero tells MVP he has three weeks to pick up a win or his contract will be reduced to a “standard” Smackdown contract. She also makes Khali vs. MVP for later.
- Shelton Benjamin beat R-Truth to retain the US title.
- Ezeikel Jackson beat Jimmy Wang Yang in a minute. Squash.
- Backstage, Jeff Hardy asked Vickie Guerrero for another shot at Triple H’s WWE title. She said Hardy doesn’t have what it takes.
- The Miz and John Morrison beat WWE champion Triple H and Jeff Hardy by DQ when Hardy went nuts and laid out Miz and Morrison with a chair. Hardy worked most of the match as he didn’t want to tag in Triple H.
- The Undertaker vs. Big Show at Survivor Series will be a casket match.
- Backstage again, Hardy asked Vickie if he impressed enough to earn a shot. She said it wasn’t enough as Vladimir Kozlov already had a shot.
- Kung Fu Naki beat Curt Hawkins.
- The Great Khali beat MVP. Total squash. Sucks to be MVP.
- Brie Bella beat Victoria. After the match, Natalya and Victoria attacked Brie. Brie went under the ringt and both twins came back out to reveal the “secret” and clean house.
- Vladimir Kozlov beat The Undertaker by DQ after Jeff Hardy came out and went nuts again, hitting both Kozlov and then Undertaker with a chair. Hardy bailed to the back, then Undertaker chokeslammed Kozlov to close the show.
- After the cameras stopped, The Undertaker beat Big Show in a Casket Match.

hopefully this is just Jeff showing everyone that he’s ready and they’re not turning him heel
