NY Post Rips WWE For Blading, News From FCW’s First TV Broadcast
- The ever outspoken Phil Muschnick of the New York Post ripped in to the WWE’s Gillette commercial the other day, writing “Even with pro wrestling now widely synonymous with drugs and deaths, Vince McMahon starring in a Gillette commercial should come as no surprise. Pro wrestling’s relationship with the razor blade industry goes way back. Not long ago, wrestlers “bladed” – cut themselves with razor blades – so they could bleed for the enjoyment of McMahon’s audiences,” which is quite topical considering my latest column on blading.
- WWE development territory FCW had their first TV broadcast yesterday (it was taped several months back). The announcers were booker Dusty Rhodes and ECW commentator Todd Grisham. The show kicked off with a hype video showing how the original FCW started back in 60s and all the stars that had wrestled there.
Ric Flair then came out and put over the development system and its trainers. Cena also made an appearance.
