Hello friends! Without further adu here are my thoughts on this week’s edition of ECW!

1. Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder to become the #1 contender for the ECW Championship

Tony’s Take: If this was the blowoff match for this feud then that was a nice way to go out! Honestly I thought that this match was the best in their series of matches because we had some nice moves, close back and forth nearfalls, and best of all no Rosaference! Match of the night by a country mile for me!

2. In-ring promo with Christian and Shelton Benjamin

Tony’s Take: These 2 studs in a ladder match for the ECW title at TLC? 2 words – YES PLEASE!!! It is so nice to finally see ECW get a PPV match after being unceromoniously left off each of the last 3 PPV’s! As for this segment both men were great on the mic and as far as their upcoming ladder match at TLC goes well I think we have just found our show stealer friends because that match is going to be fun as hell and I for 1 am so looking forward to this match!

3. Vance Archer defeated Alex Reynolds

Tony’s Take: Ok WWE we get it Vance Archer is a bad ass! So now that you’ve shoved a whole month’s worth of squash fights down our throats when are you going to give this guy some real competition hmmm?

4. The Abraham Washington Show with Matt Hardy

Tony’s Take: I love and respect Matt Hardy I really do but good lord that segment was brutal! To be quite honest this edition of the Abraham Washington Show was just as bad as the campy comedy variety show with Yoshi Tatsu was! Now do you folks know why I hate this bleepin show huh?

5. Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal

Tony’s Take: 2 minutes? Seriously you just gave 2 of your top workers on this brand 2 minutes to work with? What is this TNA Impact? Very disappointing main event to say the very least however Big Zeke’s supposed face turn really surprised me! Could this be the start of a Zeke vs Kozlov and/or Regal feud? Stay tuned!

Tony’s Overall Take: The 1st half of this show was very nice however the 2nd half of this show really bombed! Overall I would have to rate this show as average and mediocre at best! The Shelton/Zack match, the confrontation with Christian and Shelton, and the surprising face turn of Big Zeke were fun but the Vance Archer squash, that brutal Abraham Washington Show, that joke of a main event, and no Tiffany moments really brought this show down! A very disappointing show coming off 1 of the hottest and best Raw’s in recent memory! I am hoping and expecting much better next week!
