November 10, 2009, ECW Results

Thanks to Andy R, who was live in person:

Dark Match:
Cryme Tyme downed Eric Escobar & Mike Knox in a short match up to serve as a warm up.

ECW:
Abe Washington show featuring Yoshi Tatsu. This segment was brillient and really funny! I’ve never enjoyed it on TV before! Tony Atlas got a warm reception.

First match saw Goldust pin Paul Birchall (who got a good reception) after the Hurricane appeared and distracted the Brit.

Vance Archer then easily squashed ‘Jason Gradwell’ who was billed from Sheffield.

Then an excellent match for the ECW Title between Christian & William Regal. It’s well worth a watch. The fans cheered both men on and both kicked-out of the others finisher move. It swung around both ways but Christian retained via pinfall. I was a bit surprised that there was no sign of Kozlov or Jackson throughout!

SUPERSTARS TAPING:

Shelton Benjamin beat Zack Ryder via count-out after Ryder stupidly forget he was in the match due to talking to Rosa Mendes. The ECW announcer (I forget her name, sorry) announced Shelton won via DQ and was made to re-announce correctly for a win via countout. She looked gutted afterward, but other than that she was pretty solid.

  1. D’oh! I missed a bit!

Also recorded for Superstars was Matt Hardy against DH Smith with fellow Hart Dynesty members Tyson Kidd and Natalya at ringside.

Hardy hit an impressive moonsault and followed up with the Side-Efect, but Kidd & Natayla caused distractions to prevent the count. But the official banned them both from ringside! As they all complained Matt Hardy was able to surprise DH Smith with a roll up and take the three count.

Matt Hardy recieved a great reception and is still a popular superstar.

Sorry for the forgetfulness! – ANDY R.

  2. It’s really asd how ECW has become a big stinking pile of dung compared to what it was before it was a WWE brand. Night and day. What a terrible program nowadys. Just terrible.

The best example I can think of, in recent memory anyways, is the WOO WOO WOO love bug crap. I pity this show bewyond belief.

  3. I just hope that ECW has more shows like this in the near future.

  4. I forgot to say that ECW should have BETTER shows in the near future. My bad and sorry for making myself look like a jackass.
