Mysterio’s Contract, Kamala Gets Doctorate, Reid Flair’s Debut DVD
- Former WWE star and legend Kamala “The Ugandan Giant” received an honorary doctorate yesterday from the University of Arkansas.
- WWE and Rey Mysterio continue to butt heads in contractual negotiations that have been ongoing since his return. Originally WWE wanted to decrease his pay because he appeared injury prone and would likely retire, but since his return they have changed their tune and want to keep him on for five more years. Mysterio however wants to sign for only three years and so the saga continues.
- The event that saw the debut of Reid Flair is set to be released on DVD by Highspots.com. Its main drawing card is that Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were part of the show, which mainly saw Indy matches and some legend reunions like the Midnight Express vs. The Rock N’ Roll Express.

WOW is it so hard for the WWE to just give him a 3 year contract? Why would they want to decrease his pay for when his merchandise sells like crazy. Rey is a wrestler who wrestles everyday who gets injured like any other wrestler. Wrestling is not real but when wrestlers get seriously injured that is real.
It’s because when he first came back his future looked doubtful and they didn’t want to pay him over the odds if he was going to get injured again or retire in a year or so. Now its almost gone the other way where they want him for 5 more years and Mysterio doesn’t think he can go that long.
